Has anyone's DS had a hydrocele??

I know they are common in newborns but DS just developed his last week. After the pedi sent us to the ER we were told to watch it for 3 months then if it didn't go away he would probably need surgery. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with this and if so if it went away on it's own or surgery was needed. Thanks!

DS had this since his 2 week appt, but it got better. Hope it does the same for you!

Our DS had one at birth, and it slowly went away. At his 6 month appointment, the pedi said it was completely gone.

H had them when he was born. They went away completely in a couple of months.
