How long for milk to dry up?

I stopped BF on Friday because of the medications I'm on.

I've been limiting pumping (I have to pump and pitch) and today I pumped three times.  How long until my milk dries up?  I had a bit of squirtgun action happening today, which was fun and cool while it lasted but shouldn't go on forever, right?

    I stopped cold turkey and it took about a week to dry up but it was VERY painful!  I would try and just express by hand in the shower (I ended up doing this to relieve pain).  Good luck.
