...that we are expecting our first!! I know it is early, but I'm so excited. Any advice on how long to wait before we tell our parents? They all know we are trying, so it won't be a complete surprise. No symptoms yet, I think it is too early (except for the severe mood swings, but I think that is due to going off BC).
Re: Just found out tonight...
Congratulations!
We're waiting 'til the end of the 1st tri to share the news.
We waited until after my first doctor's appointment at 6 weeks to tell our parents and siblings. Then, my mom told everyone she knows! She is going through radiation treatments for breast cancer and I did not have the heart to ask her to contain the good news! I think she has been using our good news as a way to change the topic of conversation from questions about her treatments.
Then after my first u/s, we began telling our friends (9 weeks). And I told my bosses at 8 weeks.
I think you should tell whenever you feel ready.
Happy & Healthy 9 months to you!

Congratulations!!! How exciting!
We told our parents and grandparents around 5 weeks. It was early, but I'm really glad we did. We lost my DH's grandmother last week so it was a blessing to know that she knew about the great grandchild before she passed.
After my first appointment at 7 weeks we really started to just tell everyone. We figured the more people that know, the more support we will have. But we weren't shy about TTC and the problems we faced with that as well.
You should do what you think is right! Good luck!
