    Why would you stop prometrium if you are pregnant and on it?

    No, but obviously you're taking it to protect your pregnancy. You likely wont be instructed to stop taking it until you're approaching the end of 1st tri.

    Dropping progesterone levels are the cue for your uterine lining to shed. So yes, it's possible if your levels drop, that you will shed your lining even if you are pregnant.

    You need to stay on them through at least 9 weeks of pregnancy.
