I would join. And I would contribute a small fee if it was needed as well. I may not post a LOT, but I do post enough to feel like I am sick of what the bump has become.
Like I said in a previous post, I was approved for the second MeMo (I think the second?) and then my account was deleted with no warning and no explanation. I didn't recognize many people there and some of the usernames were different so I didn't know who was who on TB so I had no way of asking WTF happened. I did enjoy that board quite a bit more than TB tho.
I am all for funny AEs but if you are a douche then you are gone. If I start the site then I would have access to everyones IP. If someone punches below the belt I could block the IP. There are ways around it - nothing is fullproof. BUT - it would be better than the current situation.
I guess I will make a board,we can try it out - and go from there. I will let you all know when it is ready

I've never joined an off board. To be honest it felt like a lot of the ones I've heard of were invite only or you had to know someone to join. I completely agree with you that this place is run poorly and it would be nice to be somewhere that a moderator would be able to stop any kind of insanity immediately. It crosses the line when the babies start being attacked. If there were a board where everyone could go I'd definitely join at this point.

ITA. However, I joined Mean Mommies a while ago just to see what the hype was all about and I barely ever went on - it was boring, everyone seemed to "know" everyone else already so I didn't bother joining in, and there seemed to be quite a bit of BSC on that board as well. My opinion doesn't really count that much anyway, since I rarely post any more. DS keeps me busy and with Baby #2 on the way my time will be dwindling even more!
TB is busy gathering more advertisers, probably to keep the site profitable. Looks like they don't care about the people who actually create the traffic that attracts those advertisers, huh?

Kit-can I make a suggestion? MeMo1 had a bunch of issues with AEs because they didn't approve before getting in. Can you make it private and require approval? Not a voting system but I think it's better than posting the link and letting anyone in. Maybe some of us can help with that process?

I agree, but it can be a fine line between exclusionary and approval. Also, if itbrequires approval, how would new people join? The board would die after awhile if no newbies joined. There would have to a process that keeps out the crazies, but still allows for new blood.
