Happy Boxing Day!
We have a general check up on Thursday,  no more ultrasounds unless there is something they are concerned about (or want to check his growth again.) This week I am going to work on getting our hospital bags packed and DH is going to try to finish painting the nursery. My MIL is buying us our new bedroom set as a Christmas gift, so that will probably happen this week too. Getting into the final countdown here!!
QotW: The only times I threw up in my first trimester was when I gagged myself brushing my teeth. Other than that, once we eliminated my trigger food, I really wasn't sick at all.

last Thursday I was 1.5cm dilated and effaced too but they didn't give me a percentage. They want to strip my membrane Friday but I'm going to say no. I prefer to have it happen naturally. Had two super intense contractions yesterday morning but nothing since then. Go back to docs Friday now.

Hi! Next apt is Thursday, as I mentioned some where else, last Thursday I was over 1cm dilated, 80% effaced, and at -2 station. Doc thinks he will come a little early, around New Years, she even canceled her travel plans. 

Nursery is pretty much done, just have to hang the wall art. Bags are packed, but now that we opened Christmas presents I may switch his coming home outfit.

qotw: i only threw up once, so that was a blessing, still had nausea though. I have not experienced sciatic pain either, but that general back pain has been excruciating, so I guess I'm not really winning there... I'm just glad that the best symptom of all exists, there gunna be a baby!!

So I go to ob tomorrow since he may decide to do our csection tomorrow otherwise it will remain on Thursday at 9am can't wait to meet these ladies. I may not be on immediately depending on how I feel after but it will definitely be on Facebook because DH will be posting

I am 32w4d today and I have a regular check-up tomorrow. I believe I get an order for a growth scan tomorrow that needs to be scheduled before 35 weeks. I'm getting increasingly tired, so I'm thankful we decided to get the nursery done early (just need the ceiling fan installed -pics to come!). We just have some other renovations to complete in the next couple of weeks. We also had our maternity pictures last week and got a sneak peak of a couple... Plus our own homemade Christmas pic:

Well ladies we are going with Thursday at 9am for the csection my blood pressure went down so the dr had no concerns

@dragonfaerie I feel big and I want them out now lol. I think it's just the excitement in seeing them. 

Ladies dont forget if you have an animal in the house to bring an extra blanket or take one from the hospital so that your cat or dog can get use to the smell of the baby.

Hi. 

I'm currently in week 35. Next week is my week 36 ultrasound. The c-section will be during week 38, unless I go into labor. I have already started my maternity leave. Because of the holidays,  I was lucky enough to get some extra time. 

Qotw: I did not have have to deal with morning sickness.  I only had very slight nausea and general yucky feeling sometimes in the morning and usually in the evening,  but really nothing to complain about. 

I really didn't have issues with heartburn until a few days ago. During the first trimester,  I had very minor indigestion,  but since Christmas.... whoa! I was not smart in what I ate on  Christmas Day. I've had indigestion and a bubbly stomach ever since. Today,  I was better,  but was very careful in what I ate,  but now it's bad again. I think this is still as a result of eating too much junk a few days ago  combined with the pregnancy. I have to call the doctor  for something else tomorrow anyway,  so I'm going to ask what I can /can't take.  Otherwise,  I'm not feeling too bad most of the time.

Wee Boy has dropped way low as of this morning. Apparently that can happen anytime 2-4 weeks before labor,  so I'm not getting too excited yet, but it was interesting to put on my shirt this morning and just be like "what the heck" cuz my belly is lower and sticking straight out. Definitely time to get bags packed and everything though

Oh wow @dragonfaerie that's exciting!! I'm exactly 39 weeks today and baby hasn't dropped yet.

Hi ladies. 36.5 weeks here and got a lovely case of food poisoning on Monday. Had a terrible night with stomach issues and throwing up. Ended up super dehydrated as a result and stopped feeling the baby move. My doctor instructed me to come to labor and delivery ER yesterday so I could be monitored and get an IV. Luckily everything was ok, they monitored the baby's movements and heartbeat and I started feeling him move again after I got rehydrated with the IV. I feel much better today and was finally able to eat something and keep it down. Lots of people I know are sick with stomach bugs so something must be going around. Be careful ladies! 

QOTW - I was lucky enough not to have morning sickness. I felt nauseous during the 1st trimester and only threw up once but luckily nothing more that that.

@Tulips29 that stinks about the food poisoning. It's good they had you monitored in labor and delivery. Only a few more weeks and the baby will be out hang in there 

QOTW luckily I had no morning sickness during this pregnancy which I'm fortunate for. I threw up only once. Now I get heartburn but haven't had it all threw my pregnancy. Tums are my best friend now. 

Btw I can't believe tomorrow is the day I meet these girls I'm excited and nervous. I just hope I do everything right for these girls

So exciting that so many of you are so close! @ultratomato good luck tomorrow!! What a perfect way to end the year. 

I am doing well- thankfully I passed the glucose screening last week and I do not have GD. My next appointment isn't until next week. 

QOTW: I didn't escape the nausea and vomiting and was sick multiple times daily for three months, but I have managed to escape heartburn. Haven't had it once.

I just need to whine for a second: you guys, my back hurts SO much today, I just can't get comfortable. Even tho it's cold today I didn't even wear pants, the pressure on my back is too much. If I could just be a few inches longer in the torso, life would be SO much easier. As soon as I'm ready to leave him for a longer period of time I'm going to the chiro and masseuse.

Oof, Wee Boy dropped yesterday and I had to get up to pee four times last night! Lol. Fortunately,  DH is learning to sleep through my comings and goings.

@vssbrm have you tried a heating pad or ice pack? My doctor recommended a heating pad in the mornings and ice pack in the evening for my sciatica and it eased up a bit after a while. I hope you can get some relief soon! 

@dragonfaerie ha, my husband just snores away peacefully through my bathroom trips too. Even the dog doesn't wake up anymore either, I think they both became immune. I just look at them with envy and try to remember what a full night of sleep feels like lol.

Just had my 36-week apt and scheduled the next three. I had the GBS swab and I'll get results next week. My cervix is still long and closed, so Wee Boy is happily settled for at least the next week.

Hey ladies. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.
QOTW:  Like many others I've managed to avoid vomiting and back pain. My back pain only started about a week ago, but it isn't constant.
I followed up with my OB on a few things I had questions about, because he thinks I'm not at risk, and have had a relatively good pregnancy I won't be doing the NST. He also informed me that I won't be induced, and that he'll let me naturally go into labor. Btw which breast pump have you all decided on?

@wishingforluck I got the Medela advanced pump in style. It depends on your insurance but I ordered mine through Edgepark Medical Supplies and I was amazed at the service. I thought it would take a while to get which is why I ordered it super early. Literally got it in like 3 days. They contacted my insurance and dr for me all I had to do was fill out a small form on their website!!

@WishingforLuck I got the same one as @chicandbubbly and also through Edgepark. It was one of the suppliers my insurance gave me and it also came in super quickly. I like that it's compact and I can take it with me without carrying a bulky bag.

I am feeling extra emotional this week. I keep having dreams about delivery and meeting the baby constantly. I wake up wondering what he'll be like and I cry. Then I get anxious that I'll fail as a mother and I cry more. I also had so much pain a few days ago that I cried walking up the stairs because everything hurt. That got me thinking what if this pain doesn't go away after delivery and I won't be able to take care of my baby. I hope these are all normal thoughts, especially as we're getting so close. I am so excited but then crazy anxiety takes me over and I become an emotional wreck. Just wanted to vent in case anyone else has felt the same.
