R/R: Rave- My parents are coming to visit today! They were supposed to come yesterday but decided to wait an extra day. I'm not sure why but it made it easier for DH and I to not cheat on our diet.
CS/Q: I'm new to temping so I guess this month will be my "control" I really don't know what to expect. My temps keep going up but I've had a cold and I've been temping 30 minutes later than usual which is giving me open circles.
GTKY: Do you DIY? What is your latest project or disaster? Feel free to share! I love to crochet but I've been slacking lately. I need to make DD a new hat for winter and I'm thinking an owl.
R/R: After 6 days of positive OPKs, I finally have a definite negative (although very close to the same as test line). DH thought it would be funny to do one himself "to see if they are really working" - and he did have somewhat of a second line. Apparently that means he has high testosterone...(from what I read). I have now had a sinus headache since Friday and feel like my head / ears might explode. Usually Excedrin works (I think it's the caffeine), but I don't want to take anything so I had chocolate and Coca Cola. I might break down and just do the Excedrin.
CS/Q: Check them out! Long story short I got up two nights ago to move from couch to bed and only got 2 hours of sleep after that and also temped an hour later. Either way it doesn't seem to matter for today.

We almost killed each other putting up Christmas lights yesterday. DH used an interior outlet to create an exterior one and we ended up plugging in 15 lights to it via like 10 extension cords. The house is from 1953 with original wiring and obviously not enough outlets, but DH just wants to sell without doing work. I have been painting trim and closets. Timing:
Testing: BFN this morning. I was expecting AF yesterday and she never showed. A no show this morning as well. can anyone suggest how I should continue testing? every few days? weekly? I know if AF doesn't show after 60 days I should talk to my doctor, but does it seem reasonable to call after a week of no show and BFN to get an idea of what is going on? (If that happens) any and all advice is appreciated !

CS/Q: No
GTKY: we are DIYing our kitchen, that's a disaster haha. Lots of work and money, and more money. It will be worth it in the end, but doing all the work yourself is tough!
R/R: We went to see the Christmas light show last night. It is huge and it was amazing!
CS/Q:
GTKY: Do you DIY? What is your latest project or disaster? Feel free to share The latest home project I have done is my kitchen backsplash, I am currently crocheting an owl scarf.
@virginiaham I've heard progesterone can do just that. Must be a real mindfuck.
@JenRuss Since you aren't temping, just using OPKs, it's likely your assumed O date is off by a couple days. I wouldn't worry about anything yet and you certainly don't need to call your doctor. If I were you, yes, I'd continue testing every few days. There's a good chance you won't even get to a whole week before you get AF or (hopefully) BFP. Definitely no need to worry at this point or even in a week unless you are having symptoms that something else is wrong.
Testing: Tomorrow if temp is up! My temp was up again today (the highest of this cycle so far). High temp at 9dpo is good for me so...
R/R: The Packer game is actually on here today! Yesssss!
CS/Q: @LuND What you said in yesterday's TWW thread really struck me -- if all my symptoms mean nothing then they can also mean not-nothing and there's no reason to be discouraged We'll see tomorrow I suppose.
GTKY: Not really -- we live in a small apartment so not much room to do anything, nor the incentive to fix things up lol.
@adirat I had my highest temp of this cycle today too! However, I temped about an hour early and about 30 minutes late (with an obvious wake up in the middle where I had to go to the bathroom). Both temps were high. Maybe I'll test tomorrow with you since we are serious cycle twins!
R/R: At 14dpo I assume I'm out and just waiting for AF. My LP has been 11-13 days prior cycles and I'm fairly sure I got O right. So not sure what's going on.

R/R: DH had to go to work today, and sets 8+ alarms (seriously) and turned them all off and slept through them. I naturally woke up at 7:30 and without looking at time, just knew he should be gone (he usually gets up around 6:30 when my temping alarm goes off) and asked him why he was still in bed, he looked at the clock and freaked out. Ugh, I hate mornings that start like that.
CS/Q: Nope. Fx temps stay up tomorrow.
GTKY: Do you DIY? What is your latest project or disaster? Feel free to share! Just my crocheting project of the hat for step niece. I'm deciding what to do for the 2 nephews now.
@KhRun17 He also tried his sister's breast pump a few years ago! At least he can feel empathic now! I also set several alarms to pace myself through the morning. I get out of bed on the first one if DH is there, but occasionally snooze if he isn't. I never ever hit snooze until I dated my ex. What a bad habit it is!! @Starla The reason I asked how long your LP was yesterday is because I wondered if you could be off on O day. Do you temp, do OPKs, and check CM? Testing: nope, waiting for AF to show
R/R: I have slept pretty decent for the last two nights. Still constantly wake up, but I am able to fall back asleep.
Weirdly, I have been exhausted though. Went to bed at 9pm on Friday night and took a nap for 2 hours yesterday. I hate the lead up to AF, it really Fs with my body.
CS/Q: probably doesn't matter but curious about temps today. Both are above my cover line (97.69) again, whereas yesterday it hit my cover line exactly. But here is when I took them, not sure which one to use. Normal temp time is 6:30am. Erratic sleep caused:
-Temp at 5:30am (97.71) after 1.5hours of sleep
-Temp at 7:38am (97.93) after 2 hours of sleep
AF will probably show up today, but no sign of her yet. but just curious what temp others would use.
GTKY: Do you DIY? What is your latest project or disaster? Feel free to share!
yes, I love it! Last project was doing our own backsplash. It turned our great.
@dragonfly87 I probably wouldn't use either because you need at least 3 hours of sleep, unless you know your body / temps well enough to say that isn't true for you. Did you sleep for many hours and then count the time from your first wake up to second? (For me two nights ago I woke up like 8 hours into sleep, but I had fallen asleep way earlier than normal, walked upstairs, then went back to bed for a few hours and then temped. That's more likely to be reliable than a total of 1.5-2 hours, KWIM? Did you go to bed for the first time at 3:30 am?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@JenRuss Your O can be a day or 2 after a +opk or you could have a false surge and O later so you're still in! @NYTino24 What about trying an antihistamine? Those always help my sinus headaches. @KhRun17 Ugh I hate mornings that start out like that too. It makes the day so much harder to start. @Starla Maybe you were off by a day or 2? FX that it's just still too early. @dragonfly87 I would probably just pick a temp and put the other in the notes. My temps the last 3 days have been the same way because of early and then late wake ups.
Every time I wake up, I typically get up to use the restroom. I went to bed at midnight, woke up at 1:30am to check blood sugars (I am hypoglycemic) so was up for a little while. Then went back to bed, woke up at 3:55am, went to restroom and went back to bed. Then woke up at 5:30am, temped, bathroom, back to bed. Fell asleep quickly and woke up at 7:30am, temped and got up for the day. I will probably go with the lower temp because it isn't going to matter since AF will likely show up.
@dragonfly87 Man that's rough! Is it like that every night for you? I had a student with diabetes and her mom would do the frequent wake ups to check her blood sugar levels until she finally got a pump. My grandfather was a type 2 diabetic (way too much pasta and bread) and many of my family members tend towards hypoglycemia, but nothing bad enough to check and treat other than to eat. Hope it all gets straightened out for you!

@NYTino24@spiderlover25 I use OPKs and check CM and CP. I got a positive on my OPKs on CD14. I dried up and got - OPK in CD15. FF was giving me dotted CH for CD15, but I manually moved it because of fertile CM and SHOW CP on CD14. So I could be off by 1 day I suppose but doubt it...?

But to answer, I am actually pre-diabetic given my A1C levels. My mother is a Type 1 Brittle diabetic who was diagnosed at 40 (very rare). I show many of the similar symptoms, but not actually diagnosed as diabetic at the moment, just hypoglycemic because I tend to run very, very low at times. So I monitor my blood sugars since I tend to drop to 60. But it's pretty managable for me, especially compared to my mother who is on a pump and has to check 10-15 times a day. I typically check just a few and do corrections when necessary.
@spiderlover25: I wake up constantly every night, but typically only check sugars during the night if they are low right before I go to bed. So it's not too terrible!
Also I had total PMS symptoms this past week then they disappeared on Friday.
Here's my chart. Don't judge our BD schedule or all my BFNs... I did another OPK when I was seeing EWCM and it was very negative (white). My OPKs usually have a faint line then get darker toward O time.

CS/Q: Question: is spotting during the luteal phase normal? I spotted on CD 9 and CD10, but no sign of spotting today. Edit: I'm also spotting today. So I guess my new question is, it is normal to spot so many days before your period? I am asking seriously, since I have been on the pill for 14 years...I haven't had a normal period since because I went off *TW*, got a BFP, had a MMC and then cycle day 1 of this cycle was a D&C END TW* Anyway, I don't know what a period is normally like.

I have unbelievably painful sinus pressure and probably a sinus infection. I haven't had one in a few years and not sure what's typically an effective med. Looking online, mucinex pops up as an option. Does anyone have any suggestions for medications/brands they stand by for sinus infections?
@dragonfly87 I'm pre-diabetic too. I also have sleep apnea, have you thought about asking your doc to refer you to get checked for that?
i had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy, and I'm all ready mentally preparing myself to get it with my second pregnancy. Totally cried over not being able to eat peach cobbler at a family gathering last time I was pregnant.
@peedy: I don't know if I have sleep apnea....I don't snore or notice difficulty breathing. So not sure. When I wake up in the middle of the night....it's like my eyes just open and then I am awake....it's a little strange. My doctor said that I should probably see a nutritionist about creating a diet that prevents such low dips..but other than that didn't recommend much other than checking A1Cs annually.
@mrsegan13 I usually spot for 2-3 days before AF so I don't think it's abnormal especially if your body is still adjusting. @dragonfly87 I usually use sudafed for sinus pressure and I'm sorry for CD1 @daisymae6215 Sorry for spotting and I hope it's only that!
Testing: Today BFN... ok ladies I wouldn't mind a CS. So since my cycle returned PP I have not been here on CD13... I had a big temp drop yesterday and it was up slightly today, so I tested. snow white. So either I have my O date wrong (which I dont think) or my LP is just getting longer.
R/R: The solo weekend has gone well, no major meltdowns, the house is in one piece but I will be exited to have DH home tonight. As happy as I am that my LP might be getting longer I wish AF was not showing up for another reason...
CS/Q:sure, see Q above

@Nytino24 sorry your chart has been so wonky this cycle. question... if you keep the lower temp from the couch night is it possible you O'd on CD 22? @jenruss it all depends on how crazy it will make you to either test or not test. I would say I would test at a minimum once a week, but you could test everyother day if you have a bunch of internet cheapies. @adirat Fx so hard for you girl!!! @starla I feel you girl, I'm in the same boat @mrsegan13 some women do spot for several days before AF, it can be normal or a sign of low progesterone... I wouldn't worry too much if it happens one month but if it persists It might be something to mention to your OB

@wabash15 I'm pretty sure FF is right. Today's temp is my highest ever since I started temping almost 7 months ago! If it was wrong at all, I'm say CD19, giving me a drop 3dpo instead of 5 dpo.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@Starla Yeah, without temping I think cd14 or cd15 are likely it. Maybe you have a late implanter or maybe your LP is getting longer. Obviously the former is better but a longer LP is good too, especially if you are sometimes at 11 days. That said -- despite the negative OPKs, that's a LOT of fertile CM to have cd21-26. Have you ever O'd that late before?
@dragonfly87 Sorry to hear you're sick. I don't really respond to any sinus medication except the Sudafed behind the counter, but you'd have to check whether that is good for TTC -- it may be one of the things that dries your CM up. I have a lot of success relieving sinus pressure with a neti pot, though. I was super skeptical of neti pots for a long time because they seem so weird/gross but literally nothing helps except that for sinus blockage. Also, my Italian grandmother-in-law swears by oregano and oregano oil for sinus problems, and it seems to help me. (Helps that I like oregano anyway!)
@wabash15 I think FF is right, or at most off by just one day (cd12 or cd13). It could be that your body really is still adjusting post-partum, hence the earlier O and longer LP.
@jmn1985 It depends on the type of OPK. Are you using Wondfos?
@jmn1985 My Wondfo OPKs came with instructions to take the test between 10 AM and 8 AM. I personally have to test twice per day to catch my "true" positive.
Fucking blows to cross into cycle 6. I stopped by the grocery store to pick up some comfort food, almost started crying in the produce section, and managed to bump into what seemed like everyone I know (including a friend who is pregnant) with a cart-full of embarrassing binge food. Mother effing small town. Then when I entered my period in Ovia it just happened to come up with a "tip" about IVF. Mother effing Ovia. I use Ovia in addition to FF just because I like the Ovia home screen stats... but I may delete Ovia now.
Sorry to P&G but I'm going to go drink and eat my feelings.
@dragonfly87 Yep, eat things with a lot of oregano in them. I also take oil of oregano (a few drops in some water or straight on your tongue). Purely anecdotal but it seems to work for us -- I used to get sinus infections all the time but between neti pot and oil of oregano, I can fight them off before needing to go to the doctor these days. There is some research evidence indicating that oil of oregano has antibacterial properties: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23484421

R/R: At 14dpo I assume I'm out and just waiting for AF. My LP has been 11-13 days prior cycles and I'm fairly sure I got O right. So not sure what's going on.
CS/Q:
I knit! We've done lots of little projects around the house. Nothing major. It's all turned out well so far.

@NYTino24 - haha, love that YH tried an OPK!
@JenRuss @Virginiaham @Starla- sorry for the BFN's.
@hupp0013 - I love Christmas light shows! that's so pretty!
@adirat - yay for high temp still! Keep it up!
CD/DPO: 24/12
Timing: EOD
Testing: tomorrow if there's no temp drop. My usual SS skills have been lacking, so I'm not sure what to think right now.

@Starla The reason I asked how long your LP was yesterday is because I wondered if you could be off on O day. Do you temp, do OPKs, and check CM? You aren't out until you're out!
@adirat and @spiderlover25 Yay for high temps!

AF will probably show up today, but no sign of her yet. but just curious what temp others would use.
yes, I love it! Last project was doing our own backsplash. It turned our great.

DD2 born 9/10/17
Every time I wake up, I typically get up to use the restroom. I went to bed at midnight, woke up at 1:30am to check blood sugars (I am hypoglycemic) so was up for a little while. Then went back to bed, woke up at 3:55am, went to restroom and went back to bed. Then woke up at 5:30am, temped, bathroom, back to bed. Fell asleep quickly and woke up at 7:30am, temped and got up for the day. I will probably go with the lower temp because it isn't going to matter since AF will likely show up.

@Starla hmm I don't know then. FX that the AF no show is good news though!
DD2 born 9/10/17
Here's my chart. Don't judge our BD schedule or all my BFNs... I did another OPK when I was seeing EWCM and it was very negative (white). My OPKs usually have a faint line then get darker toward O time.
Edit: fixed typo and cropped chart pic.

Testing: BFN this morning on FRER and temp drop
R/R: I feel okay about it. Just ready for AF now so I can move on from the long long cycle. So sorry for everyone else's BFNs.

R/R: I had brown spotting last night and this morning so I'm sure AF is in her way. DH asked if it could be late implantation bleeding. I love that he's so hopeful about everything, but that just made me cry even more.
CS/Q:
BFP 02/25/2017, EDD 11/07/2017
I have unbelievably painful sinus pressure and probably a sinus infection. I haven't had one in a few years and not sure what's typically an effective med. Looking online, mucinex pops up as an option. Does anyone have any suggestions for medications/brands they stand by for sinus infections?
Heading over to WTO...please don't follow me!
i had gestational diabetes with my first pregnancy, and I'm all ready mentally preparing myself to get it with my second pregnancy. Totally cried over not being able to eat peach cobbler at a family gathering last time I was pregnant.
@dragonfly87 I usually use sudafed for sinus pressure and I'm sorry for CD1
@daisymae6215 Sorry for spotting and I hope it's only that!
DD2 born 9/10/17
CD/DPO: 25/13
Timing: decent
@starla I feel you girl, I'm in the same boat
@mrsegan13 some women do spot for several days before AF, it can be normal or a sign of low progesterone... I wouldn't worry too much if it happens one month but if it persists It might be something to mention to your OB

R/R: I have a final exam on Monday so DH stayed at his parents last night and is fishing today in order to not bother me. I slept so well. I'm not sure he's allowed to come back.
CS/Q: I was using OPKs first thing in the morning. Is that why I missed it? The interweb is alluding to 4-6 hours after waking being the best time. I got a shading pattern, darker, darker, back to light. But never a full positive.

@spiderlover25 That makes sense -- we're cycle twins so we should also be temp twins! FX if/when you test with me tomorrow!
@KhRun17 FX when you test tomorrow too!

@Dinosaur Noooooooo cycle 7 buddy! I'm so sorry
