Cancelled cycles - What went wrong? What are you doing differently this time?

Hi, my first IVF cycle was cancelled after day 6. I'm determined to make this next cycle work! I've been reading a lot and I'm going some changes in my diet and exercise, supplements and try to eliminate some of the toxins in my environment. I'd love to hear about your tips and tricks!
Me & DH - 41, DH has a cyst blocking his tubes, I'm just old.
IVF #1 scheduled May 2016 - 375/525 follistim, 75 menopur - cancelled cycle Day 6
IVF #2 scheduled July 2016 - new protocol, switcharoo...IUI June 2016 - BFN
IVF#3 scheduled August 2016 - estrogen & testosterone primed for 3 wks - ganirelix 7 days leading up to stim - 500 follistim, 75 menopur, 150 clomid , no follicle growth on day 6, stopped injectibles. Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( :( )
IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle)  :(  IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break.
IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.

    Hi, KirstenCas! I have had 3 de ivf cycles in Biotexcom clinic each time preparing just the same, I suppose. I just generally tried to be healthier on the run to my IVF cycle. I drank plenty of water to keep myself hydrated. Also ate lots of fruit and veg. I took my prenatal vitamins as well. (By the way I always take them anyway.) Unfortunately my first 2 rounds ended in BFN. :'(   But when I was getting ready for the 3rd (successful!!) cycle I did exactly the same thing. I'm sure you'll get lots of tips from lovely ladies on here!
    It really is a rollercoaster! We seem to spend an eternity having all the tests under the sun and then finally we get to start treatment! I found my 1st ivf cycle itself even worse! Probably because we were completely new to all this. I went through lots and lots of different emotions! Though the support I got on here and on the other forums was invaluable!
    I wish you all the best of luck with your next cycle! :*

    Hi, KirstenCas! I have had 2 cancelled transfers due to a thin lining, no combo of meds helped :( My FE recommended getting off all meds and see if lining will thicken naturally (my history points to no). BUT I am starting to eat blood fortifying foods such as spinach, asparagus, brussel sprouts, beef liver etc. as well as drinking raspberry leaf tea, rose otto essential oil, and castor oil packs. I am also working on a contract for a surrogate since my OB doctor offered to be my gestational carrier! I always have plan B. Good luck!

    My RE would like us to convert our IVF cycle into IUI as I only recruited 4 follies. She feels confident she can recruit more on a future try. BUT we pay out of pocket and had decided that as long as we got the "ideal minimum" of 3, we'd move forward trying our luck with IVF. This way at least we'll know the sperm made it inside the egg - whether the egg actually fertilizes or not.

    Honestly, I already do lots of Chinese medicine stuff, as well as eat pretty healthy. My ovaries just don't give a f*. ;)

    @38busker your ob sounds awesome!
    @adunkin my ovaries are totally rebelling...well the right one at least is like "i don't need no stinking medicine" and grew 2 follicles on its own at a friggin' turtles pace. I'm on CD29 and still haven't ovulated!

    @KirstenCas yeah, ovaries are special. Mine refuse to work together. On oral meds, one ovary would respond or the other would respond - but never together. This IVF cycle I have 3 on 1 ovary and only 1 on the other. I was just relieved that it at least gave 1!
