34 weeks today!! I hurt my back pretty bad last week while running.. think I really irritated my sacroiliac. I've been seeing the chiropractor and that has helped a little but I still have quite a bit of discomfort. I switch between icing it and heating it with a heating pad. I have both at work with me today.

QOTW: No where really. I haven't bought much for baby yet. I bought some clothes from Carter's in December when they were having a sale after we found out the sex, but that's pretty much it. I'm planning to go to Burlington sometime soon though, now that our shower is over.. I have a work shower Thursday and then we can buy the rest of the baby stuff. We have been so spoiled.. we barely need to spend any of our own money to get what's left on our list. We're very blessed!

31 weeks! The big achievement of the weekend was we got the decals up in the baby's nursery. I'll try to get the pic posted if I can figure how to do it

QOTW: I have been really holding back on buying baby stuff as I want to start after the baby shower. But I am sure I'll be on a roll once I get started.

Well last week was quite eventful between the L&D trip and then realizing all this happened because of a silly stomach flu which got me in bed for a whole 4 days. Feeling much better now, but stressing out a bit because that delayed to start of my mat leave (which was supposed to be today) to next Monday because I have too many things to finish! 37 weeks tomorrow, and just came back from the OB. All is well with baby and she even did a quick US to confirm that he was head down because the heartbeat was sort of high in my belly. They never offered an US there so I was all excited...I think the machine must have been as old as me! So definitely not the image quality we IFers are used to! Next appointment again next Monday (I'm getting weekly now), and I guess we'll see if they do a cervix check then. The one I saw today didn't...not sure if it's because she doesn't do it unless you ask, or because I was checked last week (OBs there are on soft call for birth, meaning I would get whoever is on call the day I go in labour rather than 'my' OB...so they arrange for us to meet most doctors in the practice if possible).

QOTW: I've been pretty good recently with the purchases. We decided not to have a baby shower, so even though we got quite a few presents, we've probably bought more than the average parents-to-be. I'll usually buy a few things here and there (I used to always check the onesies at Costco and come home with a few, but I've stopped as we have so many!). I've been itching to go buy some little outfits...I've been in love with this particular one from Hatley but refraining because I'd like to have it for our 'Welcome baby BBQ' (our sort of shower equivalent) at the end of July, but I'm not sure how big this little guy is going to be so I'm going to hold off (especially considering it's a $42 outfit he likely wear just a few times).

I also meant to add that we'll need a new leader in the next 2-3 weeks (eeek!). So if you're interested in taking over, please let me know!

I was also wondering what are people's thoughts on having a 'parent after IF check in'? I think it'd be a great way to stay connected, but not sure how much interest there would be? I might propose it in the random thread.

@CTinNV : I figured we'd eventually hear from you and didn't dare take you off the check in list! He is absolutely adorable, and I'm glad to hear it all went well! I was becoming somewhat set with the idea of going all natural, but with the amount of back pain I've had lately and how poorly I'm handling it, I've become more and more certain an epidural is in my near future.

Enjoy life with your new little man :)

@KidShrink, off topic question: how did u post that pic of the outfit? I figured it's a snapshot of ur phone's screen. Did u upload using ur phone? If yes, how? Thanks

@Binnie505 : yes, I'm always on the app on my iPhone. If you look above the text box, there's an option to bold, italicize, etc. The last icon (a sheet of paper with a folded corner) is the one you want to click on. Then click 'Choose Files' and it'll give you the option to take a new pic or choose one from your library :)

@KidShrink , I'm a big fan of epidurals. Both of mine worked well, did not hinder my ability to progress, and I assure you I felt plenty during the birth. It was still very intense with the pressure and other sensations, just not searing pain. Contractions for me hurt A LOT and I didn't want to be in mind-bending pain.

With that said, there is no right way to have a baby as long as mom and little one are happy and healthy afterwards so choose what's right for you. :) Good luck!

@CTinNV Congratulations!!! He is simply adorable! I love that little smile on his face! :D I cannot wait to have my little boy in my arms. ahhhh!

@KidShrink That outfit is adorable! I am glad you're feeling better. I am actually going to ask my MW to not check my cervix. I really don't want to know how far along I am until I am close to the end because it doesn't really mean anything. I don't want to become obsessed about something I could just do without knowing. lol

@KidShrink Also, I forgot to add.. I love the part after IF check in. That's a good idea. There isn't already a forum for that is there? I haven't even checked.

@AdorkablePixie : there's a 'Success after IF' board where there used to be TTC again check ins, but that's been dead for months. So not sure whether it's best to start it there again or to keep it all here on PAIF...?

I'm so happy for you girls! I remember stalking your stories in 1st and 2nd tri as I went from 2nd to 3rd tri to finally holding my babies.
It's such an amazing treat and I'm so glad you are all so close to your happy endings!

@KidShrink things are great! My days can be long, frustrating, and headache inducing but I wouldn't have it any other way! I'd go thro ivf 1,000 times to have these two blessings.

@HBMama2B : wow, already 31 weeks?!? Sorry you had a rough 2nd tri...certainly the opposite of what I got (amazing 2nd tri, rough 3rd tri with pain, but better now). What's your EDD and what are you expecting again so I can add you on the check in list?

Yeah, not sure where time goes! My EDD is 6/17 (little boy). I'm glad you had an amazing second tri! I felt so lied to, lol. But my month 7 ended up being so much better, and baby is as healthy as can be!

Hi Everyone!  I'm late to the party!  G/B twins EDD 6/16 (although I've already been told if I make it to 38 weeks that will be the end of the road which puts me at 6/2).  I am 32 weeks and noticeably getting bigger everyday!  Uneventful pregnancy aside from pneumonia in early March that kept me in the hospital for a few days!

QOTW I've been pretty good with not splurging.  Well cribs and a dresser for the nursery but that's really it!  We got lots of the essentials, etc at our showers and now just kind of planning on winging it and seeing what else we need!

I also like the idea of a Parent after IF Check In!
Also for sports bras and work out gear in general.... best maternity purchases I have made:
    https://www.apeainthepod.com/maternity/designer-brands-beyond-yoga.asp
Crazy expensive but one pair of pants, one sports bra, and one top and I wear them ALL THE TIME.
