**2nd Tri Check-in 1/25**

This is a weekly check-in for those in their 2nd trimester: weeks 14 through the end of week 27.

Congrats to all the strong ladies who have made it this far! It's such a great feeling and we've all accomplished so much! We are now 1 week closer to the end of this especially long journey we call "infertility".

Please post below a little about yourself, how many beans you have growing inside, if you have found out the sex(es) and what your EDD is. Please also let us know how far you've made it on your journey and when your next appt is and what for.

Hey ladies! Sorry so late. We had our baby moon this past weekend in Niagara Falls. It was real nice to get away after all the things we've been doing around the house. We have gone through the whole house and really purged. We've been trying to get the house to a more baby friendly state. We just got new carpet and finished painting the nursery. Phew! A lot of work. Had an u/s yesterday and everything looked great! She's about 2.5 lbs. it's mind blowing seeing her moving around, hiding her face, making suckling gestures! I just love her like crazy! She's already cracking me up with her antics lol. I can't believe this is the last week of my second trimester! It really flies! I wish you all a happy second trimester and I will see you over on the third tri board!!

Hello Ladies!!

Sorry I've been MIA lately... No real reason just busy with life and enjoy every little milestone in this pregnancy!

Things are going great for me! We are still TEAM GREEN, I've reminded my doctor and US tech so much they are probably sick of hearing it! I just don't want them to accidentally spill the beans... I'm due 6/15/16!

I don't got back to Doctor until the end of February.... I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow. I started feeling movement last week which has been an incredible thing! I found myself stopping to lay down (a lot) just so I can feel the little movements... SO IN LOVE! Still not strong enough for hubby to feel, but I'm sure it won't be long for him to get in on the fun!

We will probably be starting our registry beginning of next month, so I'm looking forward to that! Otherwise I'm just all smiles and loving everyday that I get to experience this incredible blessing called pregnancy!!!

Hope everyone eles is doing great, and loving their pregnancy too!

Congrats @krbjoy with moving to the third trimester!! You're getting closer and closer. I'll see you in about 5 weeks!!

Nothing new really for me here. I am enjoying every milestone of the pregnancy as well. I am just so in love with everything, even my growing body. I have a little bump now and I am loving it, I think DH is too. I don't know if I wrote about this last week or not but last Monday DH felt baby boy kick for the first time (22 weeks!) and we both saw him moving around from the outside too which was amazing.

I have my next doctor appointment on February 8, DH is going because he wants to hear the heartbeat again.

26 weeks now! So only one more week in this check in and then third tri for me too! Any of you still having trouble believing you're preggo? The whole day of kicking yesterday (starting at my 4am bathroom trip, after which I was never able to fall asleep again) is definitely making it more real though and so is the belly getting in the way...I'm realizing I can't squeeze into tight spaces anymore.

No doctor's appointment for me this week! However, I'll get to see my RE again tomorrow as one of my closest friends is getting a laparoscopy for severe endo with him...so brings me back to my surgery in July. She's seen a bunch of doctors in our home province who have refused to consider she might have endo (I went through the same before moving here), and she's now at a point where they may have to remove parts of her intestines (I had my gallbladder removed from damage caused by endo). She's been in awful pain for years, so we're really crossing our fingers this is it for her and she can go back to normal life and TTC.

We're also receiving furniture for the nursery this weekend, so it should all be done by Sunday

@KidShrink congrats on almost being to the third tri!! It sure seems like the time is flying by. I still remember when you got your BFP!! I love the kicks. Feeling him move is so amazing. I got woken up from a dead sleep in the middle of the night, I don't know if it was DH snoring or not but I figured I'd go to the bathroom and then he just started kicking away.

@AdorkablePixie : I know! It feels like it was just yesterday, but then it all seems far at the same time. Seeing the movement from outside is also pretty crazy! I'm just seeing pokes at this point, no identifiable parts, and not sure whether the fact that I have an anterior placenta will prevent that in any way. Yesterday, it seemed like he was head down, kicking me at the top of my belly, and punching around my belly button ALL DAY! I seem to be going through phases of quiet baby/weight gain, active baby/no weight gain...so thinking maybe he's more quiet when he's having a growth spurt (or he's just really content if I eat more, who knows

@KidShrink haha! I know the feeling. Baby girl is head down and her little feet are so kicking me in the top of my belly. I was surprised at the u/s when I saw her head down. I didn't picture that she would be in that direction.

@krbjoy our little guy was head down at the ultrasound too! I swear he'd better not decide to turn around in the next few weeks! It's certainly weird to see the top of my belly move like crazy, but I'll take that anyday over a breech baby dancing on my cervix and bladder! We booked a 3D ultrasound for Feb 12, so I'll get to see if he's still head down by then. He goes diagonal sometimes though (kicks on the left, stretches his arms on the right at the same time). It's all so cool to feel

Hi all! So happy to see some graduating to 3rd tri next wk! @KidShrink definitely still struggling to believe I'm really pregnant, and I feel him move every day now! I love his little kicks and that DH can feel them too. No big news his week. Just happy all of us moms and LOs are healthy and doing well!

@krbjoy how did you like the falls? I grew up about 10 minutes from there. I hope you were able to visit the Canadian side

My update for the week..



Baby Boy Richardson looked great at our anatomy scan today!! We go back on the 8th -- he was laying on his back the whole time so they didn't get a good look at his spine or kidneys. I am excited to have another ultrasound

@KidShrink I can tell when my baby boy is sideways too! lol I told DH it's funny, I will feel movement in one spot and then a second later it's all the way on the other side. Feeling movement is so wonderful!!

Hi mommies!!! 15 weeks this week and just had our first 2nd trimester appointment yesterday. We got to hear baby's heartbeat for the first time!!! The doctor was having a tough time finding it, she said my anterior placenta might be working against us. Just as she finished saying that she was going to try for another minute and then get the ultrasound machine, we heard the crazy fast, horse galloping-like sound of our little baby's heartbeat!!! It was such an amazing and surreal sound    

My OB wants me to see a Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor at the hospital for a consult because I have an autoimmune disease and she just wants to make sure that it won't impact the baby or me during the pregnancy. Have any of you seen an MFM? That appt. is in 2 weeks, and I have my next 2nd trimester appointment and anatomy scan on Feb. 23.

@kaitielynnrichardson Congratulations on the baby boy!!! So exciting!

And congrats to all the mommies moving into their 3rd trimester soon! Isn't how crazy how fast time flies?!?!

I really loved it. We were on the Canada side. I hadn't been since I was a kid and also never in the winter. It was beautiful! We stayed the weekend and relaxed. Yummy food at the Skylon. Fireworks over the falls. Our room had the best view of the falls. It was amazing! Good times!

@krbjoy it's true that it's really nice in the winter! Glad you had a good time!
When we moved to the Toronto area two years ago, it was a super cold winter (-30C for a few weeks in a row), and the American falls were almost completely frozen. That was pretty impressive to see.

@krbjoy that sounds fabulous!! Our baby shower in up there in April.  DHs brother has never seen the falls so we will be making a trip

@krbjoy I love Niagara Falls. I went once, when I was 10, and it was so amazing I still remember it very well. I want to go back with DH one day. We went in the winter too and the falls were mostly frozen. We walked behind them and everything. Such good times!

@AdorkablePixie that's cool that you went behind the falls. I've been meaning to do it, but it's always a crazy busy weekend when we go witth out-of-town guests and we never managed to do it. I hadn't thought about doing it jn the winter, but that sounds like a cool idea. That could be a fun day trip for us in the next few weeks

@kaitielynnrichardson congrats! So excited for you and your healthy little guy! I have my second AS next Thursday and I'm super excited to my LO again. I'm definitely feeling him, he loves to move during work meetings.
