Ummm TL;DR. Use Echo as a middle name. Too hippie-dippy as a first name. Sorry bout ya.
I thought for sure I replied to a bunch of comments here yesterday. Did some vanish? Didn't I reply to this and the comment below? Weird . . .
Anyway, to each their own and I politely decline. I will be using it as a first name. It's Greek. Would you care to add on to the discussion by answering the bullets in the beginning of the thread or anything else you want? I'd like to keep the discussion moving.
I thought TL;DR was indicative that I did NOT want to answer your questions or even read your whole post, but I guess that wasn't clear. Thanks for the assignment. Here goes:
Do you pass on names? Yeah, as long as they make sense as names and are stylistically appealing/won't make my kid a laughing stock.
Does your family pressure you to? ( My family personally doesn't pressure me and they were surprised and honored about the names that were passed on. ) My family has always encouraged the use of appropriate family names but does not pressure me. My father would never pressure to me to use the name Wanda for a daughter born in this century despite it being his mother's name because he understands it is dated.
Or are you against it? ( I know some names just don't flow right, so I totally get it. ) Not against using family names, but I would only use those that I deem appropriate and would not choose a name solely because it belonged to a family member.
And how long did it take you to find a name that felt just right? Still TTC but DH and I have names picked out for the future and have for a couple of years now. Didn't take long at all, as we have similar taste in names.
May I be excused to go to the restroom now?
I think you're my favorite person ever.
Actually, it wasn't. It's been many years since I've been in junior high and I don't really deal with passive-aggressive behavior. Instead I will attempt to invoke people into either participating in the occasion or they can just excuse themselves. I'm going to assume the yellow highlighted sentences and responses are more passive-aggressive shots at me in a way? I find it funny that one post and one opinion has inflicted such a strong emotion out of you.
Honey, it's from a movie. A movie called Friday. It's a way of telling someone they are irrelevant and you aren't sad to see them go. So I was dismissing you. Get it?
I could just keep responding to you. Kind of one of those things that has a chance of happening when you post in a public forum. Just as you have the right, obviously, to post, I have the right to keep responding to you as often as I wish. Happens when it's at the slow point of the day. Seems a lot of you take entertainment in being snarky, so I will try to find some enjoyment in this too.
Or I could continue until you block me. Or whatever ignore option this website has. I'm not even sure. Can't say I've really looked.

Oh honey, I don't care. Keep it up. It's a slow day at work and I got nothing but time and fast internet.
So,
are you from the south? Or do you just really like to put on the façade from
those television shows? That’s the only thing I think of when I hear people say
“honey” and such. It's not just you. This is from anyone. My aunt Roxie says hun and honey, but she is from the south. Or it just sounds better when it's from an older person, like a senior citizen. For some reason, and I have no idea why, I get the impression
you can’t be that much older than me.
My responses
will be spaced a bit. Planning the curriculum for the next month while the boys
are gone at their grandmother’s house. Plus catching up on laundry. The dryer
finally got replaced. Nothing like backed up laundry due to a shot dryer, am I
right?
What kind
of job do you have? An office job with access to the Internet? That’s pretty
neat.

Also, what's wrong with an office job...lol?
Nothing's wrong with the south and nothing is wrong with an office job. They're basic questions? When someone mentions they are at work with fast Internet, I think of an office job. So it was a question. The question about the southern accent is because she says honey, which is usually reserved for the elderly to say towards the younger people where I live - or there's the exception for those from the south, haha.

Y'all got to the bless her heart faster than me! I'm not from the south originally, but 10 years of adulthood there make me want to defend it. In this situation, "oh honey, bless your heart" seems appropriate to me!

You can stay in the south. We will adopt you as one of us.

Yes, surely we can! I mean we've already taken in the retirees. What's one more?
Either OP is gonna pitch a hissie fit or have a straight out conniption. Jury's still out. In the meantime might I suggest a hootinanny to bide the time. Whole lot of hoot just a little bit a nanny, that's my darn tootin recommendation. Give your darlin and honey's some sugar, butter them biscuits and don't bother holdin' your horses. Cuz lawd have mercy we are in for a finger lickin good time over yonder!
