Negative Pregnancy tests, could still be pregnant?

Hello all, my cycle is very regular, and my last period was February 2nd. I am about 3 weeks late on my period for March, yet am still testing negative on HPT. I just went to doctor today for a blood test, & he talked me out of it and said to do a urine test instead. Well that was negative so they finally did the blood test & I find out in the morning. He said it's VERY unlikely that I'm pregnant, & I probably had an early miscarrage, however I have not bled a single drop since last period. I am so frustrated and sad, I just want answers. I don't have any symptoms other than mild cramps, headaches and tiredness. If I am pregnant, then I'm just about 7 weeks (counting first day of last period). I've heard stories of women with low hormones, is that possible? Has anyone had this situation?
