Every so often we have this thread and it's always fun to see what everyone wore!

So PIP away ladies. If you don't feel comfortable posting a picture of you that's fine - a stock photo works well too!

FYI: if you are using a real photo please be aware that any image you post here can be potentially linked back to any other location where that image is located (facebook, pinterest, etc etc) So be aware! Internet safety is important!

this was my gown!




My dress was a huge fuckery though. I had found it online and knew it was the one. I went store to store and apparently nobody could get it for me. Finally, I found a little bridal shop that said they could order it for me. I placed the order in October for my spring wedding. In February I called the shop to see if my dress had arrived and I was horrified when I found out my dress had been ordered in the wrong color. Basically the guy on the phone was flipping through the invoices and said oh yes! the sottero in gold. I freaked out - first he tried to deny it then he tried to sell me the gold dress arguing that it was different and in style.

Dh had to go to the store that night and get my deposit back so that I could figure out what I was going to wear to my wedding. I found another shop that was willing to work with me and they pulled a dress out of production so I'd have my gown on time.

This is always one of my favorite posts. I love looking at everyone's wedding gowns!

I found this gown online and fell in love with it. It was a Wtoo and much more expensive than I was planning to spend. But I was able to order it online at almost half the price. :-)

I was living in CA at the time, so my mom and I met "in the middle" in Phoenix. Went to almost every store there, saw this one, and fell in love!

My wedding was 13 years ago (I'm old!) so I'm not sure even have a digital photo of it to share. But I'm enjoying seeing all of your lovely PIPs.  =D>

I wanted an off the shoulder dress ever since I was a little girl. But I think my favorite part was wearing my Mom's veil.

Oh I loved this dress so much.  I wore a lacy long sleeved bolero with it.  Here's a ring shot that sort of shows the bolero.  Couldn't find a good picture of that either!!

oooh im obsessed with wedding dresses so i love this thread and cant wait to see all of the dresses when i get home (work computer not showing pics). Heres mine. so as to not be identified i broke it down so show the dress as a whole and the details. got mine from run of the brides...tried on tons of dresses..had one i stood in for like 35 mins trying to convince myself it was the one.. was JUST about to give up and this was literally the last dress i had to try on and i knew instanstly it was it

My dress is in my siggy... but it isn't a great pic. It was plain... beaded accent on the back. DH and I got married really fast, so I had to order a dress quickly! I couldn't find the right dress... so I picked the dress disliked the least. I'm fine with that though... there were more important things that day than the dress.

I love looking at wedding dresses I tried this dress on third....I cried, and that was the end of my dress shopping!

Fun! Here's mine from 2007. It was a Marisa dress in silk brocade. Veil was like $10 off eBay, as recommended by other Knotties. I loved my dress, especially the back, which dipped down low and had this dramatic satin "obi" ribbon in back. But if I could do it all over again, I'd wear something vintage

Oh so many gorgeous and stylish brides! I actually pieced my wedding dress together. It was a bodyconscious (aka tight and short as f*ck) dress layered under a tulle skirt I ordered from etsy. The whole shebang (with a ribbon from the craft store to belt) was under $150! We got married in the winter so I wanted some coverage. I still put on the skirt when I'm feeling sad...

OOOO beautiful dresses ladies!  

We got married outside in a field so I went with a short train and my mom added lace straps with a pearl back necklace to my dress but here is a stock photo and pictures from our wedding

This is me in my dress! My second dress to be exact went in to buy jewelry and saw it. Had to have it - and kicked my first dress to the curb! Ugh, it's do beautiful I could throw up. The hat is/was my mom's! I restored it and repositioned the tulle to my liking. My dad's mom sewed on the pearls to it when my mom bought it.

Okay, so, I got married twice, and both of my dresses were made for me - the one up here by my BFF and the one in Florida by my mother. They were both lovely, but not EXACTLY what I wanted. If we were to renew our vows in a few years, I'd probably make my own.

Also, I severely regret not losing some weight before the wedding. H and I were both at our heaviest weights (360 and 260 respectively) and it shows.

Also, I'm too lazy to crop and don't really care anyways, so you get full shots

I loved my dress. I had the zipper taken out and a corset back added in. I also had straps added after they altered the length. The top is kind of hidden by my lei though. Can't find a good one of the bodice.

Here's my dress! I was living in Los Angeles at the time, and none of my family was able to come dress shopping with me. I went with my bff and I had no intentions of actually finding a dress that day, but I fell in love with this dress! It's a Wtoo (Watters) gown. I love lace and I wish I could find a good picture of it on, but I can't seem to find one at the moment. It is tiered, really flowy but tight at the top. I never in a million years thought I would want a strapless gown. They ordered a size that was waaaay too big, so I had to have it altered several times before the wedding. All the fabric was just folded in because the only place I needed it taken in really was the bust as I am super narrow up top with almost no boobs to hold them up! Needless to say...I stuffed my bra on the big day! I love this gown! It also was really comfortable. I wore a pair of rose Badgley Mischka shoes, which kept getting caught on the lace but it was worth it.

This is the back of mine. We had thought about doing a beach wedding and stuck with the dress and suit we picked out for it.


On a side note, that mole between my lower shoulder blades was sliced off a few weeks ago

LOVE seeing everyone's gorgeous dresses!
Here's mine...I couldn't find a picture that showed the beading in the front that I fell in love with, but my two favorite parts of the dress were the swarovski crystal beading in the front and the bustle in the back (that gets its own picture :-) )

Here is mine! It was a subtle fit and flare, all lace, my dream dress. I lived across the country from my parents and really wanted to wedding dress shop with my mom. I was back for one day, it snowed 14", my dad dug us out, we went anyway and I bought the second dress I tried on.

Oh I love wedding gowns!! I was so happy to go through old pics on a rough day like today. So many great memories. I'm too lazy to crop so these are me and DH.

I live 1,000 miles away from my mom, so I flew to CT and got my dress from the same shop that she got hers

For the first dress, I tried on a total of three. For the second, I just ordered it online from China

Excuse the giant red arrow had to block out faces I couldn't crop out. This is me wearing my dress. The next is me and all my girls, I was wearing cowboy boots as well but can't find a picture showing them off. We're from Texas, what can I say?

I saw this post and figured I would add mine in as well. We didn't have too many issues with mine, other than me losing weight after my first fitting.

H and I eloped.  We were married in the middle of a birch tree forest with just our photographers and minister....... so I had a tulle skirt made and I found a crop jacket and a long wool peacoat with my snow boots and called it a day.
