I just wanted to say thank you to all you awesome ladies on this board. I've seriously learned so so much just from this place. When I first started on my ttc journey, I was so far away from even being close to knowledgable about ttc and my own body for that matter. I will be eternally grateful for all of the wisdom you guy have passed on.
On oct 28th, I had random blood work to get done. I'm pretty sure I had a cp in September, so my dr was just checking my hormones as I had asked her to do. She threw in a beta as well. After I got home , I was just feeling like balls. Decided to take a test 10dpo and there it was ! My hcg level was 21! So I think that's a good start. I hope to see more bfps this week and hopefully catch up with you ladies on first tri. Thank you again and good luck to you all!
Honestly guys I really did try to get involved. I lurked for months too. Anyways , like I said, very grateful for everything I learned from you guys. I thought it would be rude of me not to say thank you is all.

Also I LOL'd a bit at "random bloodwork." Can't say I've ever had that done.
And she participated a lot in those 9 days. Congrats op.

I hope you're being sarcastic.

You mean commenting on threads, congratulating bfp's and being generally involved is a bad thing? Far as I can see, she did all that. We wish people stays that are short, but when they actually are, we jump all over them.
FWIW I am genuinely glad she had a short stay here. Usually people post BFPs in the 2WW thread when they've been here such a short time. She apologized, clearly it wasn't ill-intentioned. All I said was not nice, which I felt it wasn't nice to create a new post.

I thought the general rule was that if people consider you a reg you can post a BFP as a it's own post, otherwise it goes in TWW. She was involved in her 9 days but it's too short to become a regular member that people would know and notice if she left. I've been involved for a while but don't feel that I post enough to get my own thread for a BFP if I'm ever lucky enough to get one.

@frankenboom what's equally annoying is that you're arguing with @jefa621 who has been here a hundred times longer than you. I think she knows how the board works. I feel like you're trying to micromanage. Just, no.
Congrats OP.
FWIW, I feel that our BFP expectations have become so stringent that some regs haven't posted their BFPs just because they post them in the TWW. I have missed some BFPs that I would have wanted to congratulate.

I'm really surprised at the way this thread turned out. Much more, um, pleasant (?) than I thought it would.
After being here since July, I was under the impression that you had to be a pretty well-known reg to post a BFP. However, I kinda felt shitty leaving this week without saying anything. So, I can see where the OP is coming from.. Feeling like she should say thanks.
Congrats, OP.

I agree with PPs, it's refreshing to see someone thank us for helping her and to see someone who did have a short stay. She hardly trolled, rubbing pee sticks in our faces and all that shit. That's what pisses me off the most, the whole "I didn't temp, just relaxed and enjoyed myself and BFP after 1 month....squeeeeeee!" That is not the case with this post.
Congrats, OP! H&H 9 months to you!
Married to DH (aka the love of my life) since June 17th, 2006
Congratulations. I don't know you but I could only imagine the excitement you are going through. This is the absolute best moment of your life and cherish the moment! I wish you and your growing family the best. I'm not there yet, but I sure as hell don't ever want to make another woman feel upset about this type of news. I wish we could all empower each other, especially when we are all after the same thing. Good luck to you! I'm glad your stay was short.
Congratulations @jgrace82 and I wish you a H&H 40 weeks!

THIS. There have been a few peeps who have been active posters who didn't post BFPs to not offend.
I am in camp "if you intro'd and made an effort to be active, then congrats on the bfp!"
Congrats, OP. H&H 9 months!

I really don't need anyone defending me thanks. Besides there comes a point where someone who's been here for 6 months pretty much knows all the same stuff as someone who's been here 6 years. We disagree on this one is all...
I'm sorry you misinterpreted that as me defending you. Defending people on here isn't something I do. Which I'm not sure why it would bother you anyway. I was defending the board. Have a great day. *back to lurking*
