How are you feeling?  I actually have a cold right now   So have been feeling crappy!

How did the shower go?  I hope the generosity of your family and friends left you with nothing left to buy.  The shower was great, it was just my nursing school friends.  I got lots of diapers, knit blanket, books, toys, and my crib mattress!  Next shower will be work shower in a couple of weeks.

Upcoming appointments? I have my routine 2 weeks checkup this afternoon!

 

Any updates to share? This past weekend DH was sick so we stayed in and did a lot of work to the Harry Potter themed nursery. We have a few more decorations we purchased on etsy we’re waiting to arrive and then we’re done! So far I really like the way things have turned out! I plan on posting pictures in a few weeks after my second baby shower. DH put together the stroller and I washed and put away the clothing items we’ve received so far. I made a shelf in the upstairs closet for the baby as well as a shelf in the kitchen. The fact that this baby will be here in 10 weeks is really starting to sink in! We start our childbirth classes next Tuesday!

 

How are you feeling? The pain in my lower back doesn’t bother me anymore because it’s now shifted to this awful pain in my upper back/rib cage. I know its normal, but hot damn it hurts! Some nights it keeps me up and I can’ get comfortable other nights it’s bearable. I also feel like I have to pee all the time, but not a whole lot comes out (sorry TMI). I’m going to talk to my OB today and make sure I don’t have a bladder infection.  

 

QOTW: DH and I are bummed because all of our favorite TV shows we are watching right now are done! The Knick season finale just finished this past week and the series finale of Boardwalk Empire is fast approaching

How far along are you? 34 weeks today!

Upcoming appointments? My next appointment is 10/31.

Any updates to share? At my appointment last week I was measuring a little behind but still within normal range. The midwife told me that due to my age they will only let me go a couple days past my due date so I should have a baby by 12/5. We finally got the nursery painted, the glider delivered and the crib put together so it actually looks like a nursery now. We bought our car seat last night but then I realized it was cheaper online than in store with a coupon so I'll be returning it and ordering it online.

How are you feeling? Like crap. I have bouts of insomnia every night. My back is killing me and I'm only comfortable sleeping on my back but that obviously won't work. I still have heartburn. And my hips hurt. So everything pretty much sucks right now.

Upcoming appointments? Growth scan on Friday to see how little girl is growing.

Any updates to share? Our birthing class was really good last weekend.  They had a lot of good information about the hospital and what you should pack in your bag.  We learned some breathing techniques and saw some "what to expect" kind of videos about the stages of labor and getting an epidural, etc.  We also got to tour L&D and the nursery so we know where we are going when the time comes.  We also had maternity pictures on Sunday which was super fun!  This weekend we have another baby shower!  This one is superhero themed for our little superhero. 

How are you feeling? I am actually feeling really good.  I have been sleeping great for about a week now and am doing pretty good.  My back hurts and my feet are swollen by the end of the day, but I really can't complain. 

QOTW:  That is a toss up right now between Sons of Anarchy and Walking Dead.  The last couple of seasons Sons has beaten out Walking Dead but the first two WD episodes of this season have been GREAT.

Good morning ladies! 34 +5 today and feel ok. I missed last weeks check in, I just feel so so busy lately, yet time seems to be slowing down again and I'm getting anxious to get this baby out (though I know he/she needs to cook MUCH longer)

Not too much to report.. my midwife is getting on my case about weight gain (+25) so I feel a bit crummy about that. I was super disciplined early on but it's getting hard to fight off the sweets and with the darker/colder weather walks are getting much harder to fit in as well. 

QOTW: I don't have an absolute favorite, but we just started watching lost on Netflix. I figured It should carry me well through the winter.

Upcoming appointments? This friday, regular checkup. I'm planning to ask for a doctor's note so I can get preferred parking at work...today I had to walk 15 mins from my car to the building...stairs/on grass....a little ridiculous

Any updates to share? Nope, enjoying my boring pregnancy I do have a water aerobics class tonight...kinda nervous. I'm hoping its all people over 80.

How are you feeling? Great. I have been trying to eat really well this week, and while I am hungrier because I am eating less fat, the extra fruit/veggies seem to be helping!

 QOTW: What is your favorite TV show right now? How to get away with murder!! So over the top cheesy but I love it. And Homeland.

Update: I guess I missed last week - sorry! My sister got married and it was a very busy week. I'm 34w4d today. I'm feeling ok, struggling with sleep lately and lots of braxton hicks. I have a regular appointment tomorrow and I'm sure they're going to tell me I'm measuring ahead but we'll see!! Less than 5 weeks to go!!

QOTW: We don't have many favorite shows right now but we do watch Survivor and are watching American Horror Story.

Well, I had most of the presents from the shower integrated into the nursery, but a couple of friends who couldn't make the shower went WAY overboard, so I'm back at it. I love my friends  

My hip pain continues to be pretty bad and prevent much sleeping, but I did start physical therapy last week. It's oddly reassuring to be told that there is indeed something wrong (my hips are WAY out of alignment). I'll have PT twice a week for the duration.

How far along are you? 31w 5d
Upcoming appointments? I had my last growth ultrasound and first NST monitoring today. Everything looks good, except baby flipped breach! He was head down last week at my midwife appointment.

QOTW: What is your favorite TV show right now? DH and I are so happy Top Chef is back. One of our favorites!

Hey everyone!  It's so weird to be close to the top of the list.  I did have another weekly appointment today and have made no progress since last week- boo.  My midwife gave me some tips to try to help encourage effacement and dilation.  She said that next week or the following, if I'm dilating at all yet, she'll sweep my membranes if I want- that sounds a little scary.

How far along are you?  38 weeks 1 day

Upcoming appointments?  Had 1 today, next one is Tuesday next week.

Any updates to share?  I finished just about everything on my to-do list, all that's left is easy stuff like paperwork, downloading some music, and keeping the house clean.

How are you feeling?  Not great, I'm definitely feeling more pain in my pelvis/hips/back, and baby's movements are often painful now too.  It's discouraging that the baby is so low that it's causing pain around the area of my cervix but doing nothing to dilate me.

QOTW: What is your favorite TV show right now?  I was really liking the Outlander series, and H and I love The Walking Dead.

HI all! A crazy couple of weeks here. Last Tuesday our GC went into pre-labor (false labor?) where she had contractions every 4-6 min and was 80% effaced. We went to the city where our GC lives and the Squirt decided to stay put and has been quiet over the last 8 days. We have another weekly appointment on Thursday.

QOTW: Love Parenthood. Figures they cancel it just as I am finally becoming a parent.

How far along are you? 38 + 3. 10 more days to go. Just realized this morning that 11/2 is when we change our clocks BACK one hour. I told DH that this could potentially mean an extra hour of labor!!

Upcoming appointments? At our appointment last Friday, the OB felt that fundal height was measuring 3 weeks behind. According to her, they don't worry until you are 4 weeks behind. Now I'm scheduled for an u/s tomorrow to check growth. My last u/s on 9/29 showed LO measuring in the 35th percentile. Then we repeat OB appointment on Friday. She also mentioned that they would do a cervical check and/or membrane sweep if I wanted. I'm not sure I want the membrane sweep done.

Any updates to share? My last day of work was Friday. Since then, it's been laundry, stocking up on groceries, finishing my go bag, installing the Pack & Play, and putting away stuff from the surprise baby shower.

How are you feeling? Really slow and and every time I have to walk, my bladder yells at me. Ready to be done so I can get my feet, back, and bladder back under control.

QOTW: What is your favorite TV show right now? I will watch any of the NCIS serials.

How far along are you? 28w 1 d - due 1/13/15 with a little boy, and HELLO 3rd TRI!!!!  @Ashris13 - could you please add me?  I cannot believe I can post here, and I really cannot believe that I'll be posting here until LO arrives. Wow...

 

Upcoming appointments? None until November 5th - then we go every 2 weeks!

Any updates to share? We bought a Mamaroo used off Craigslist, and I'm very excited about it! It was the one splurge I really wanted but couldn't justify buying new.

 

How are you feeling? Pretty good overall.  Immensely grateful for my physical therapist, who seems capable of putting this Humpty Dumpty back together every time I fall to pieces. I perhaps didn't make the smartest decision to do 2 full days of yard work this past weekend... my hips and lower back were a mess! 

 

QOTW: I am a Grays Anatomy fan - I think at this point it's more out of habit and nostalgia than anything else.  DH and I watch the Daily Show & Colbert Report every night together (we're Hulu & Netflix people, not cable, so it's always a day delayed - so Tues-Fri we watch).

Upcoming appointments? Regular bi-weekly appointment next week and another GD scan on Nov 7th.
Any updates to share?  Sorry I didn't update last week.  We got rear ended by two motorcycles on the highway (they didn't even brake as we were slowing for traffic, hello 45 mph impact), so a lot going between the hospital visit, follow up appointments, no to mention we only have 1 car and that's been in the shop to get fixed.  Baby is okay though, but a really scary experience.  On a happier note, we had an extra ultrasound (because of my GD) and baby is measuring 4.5 pounds and already head down.  My husband comes home from his work travel for good on Nov 5th, so she's got to stay in my belly until then!  Next scan Nov 7th- can't wait to see her cute face again on the 3D ultrasound :-)
How are you feeling?  So I have felt great my whole pregnancy, but in the past week I've started to feel terrible.  Back aches that massages can't help.  So much pressure in my stomach I feel like I'm going to burst.  Really trying to take it easy (baby room is 100% done), drink more fluids and rest more.  Hopefully it passes, but I feel like I've had such an easy pregnancy that the end it is going to be tough like this now until the end.

Upcoming appointments? Frist cervix check next Monday - excited to hear that I have made no progress (hah). 
Any updates to share?  Furniture is slowing coming in.  The only thing we are waiting on is the crib! 
How are you feeling?  Today I feel huge.  Maybe that is because my maternity pants are getting tight and I wore a tight shirt (with a cardigan).  But, overall I've been feeling pretty good. 

QOTW: What is your favorite TV show right now? Probably the Blacklist.  I also enjoy E60, Amazing race, Survivor and Shark tank.

Any updates to share? Asked a ton of questions at today's appt. Part of me still wants to try for a vaginal delivery & talked to the doctor about this in more depth. It would mean going pass 38 weeks and just waiting. I'm at my limit mental & physically and the thought of going past 38 weeks just makes me even more uncomfortable and antsy.  I need to come to terms that a c-section is the best for us & babies.

How are you feeling? Crabby, drained mentally & physically - I'm going to blame this on the nightly insomnia. Heartburn is back:(

How far along are you? 36+3 Upcoming appointments? Had an appointment today along with my last growth scan. I have my last check-up next Wednesday and my c-section the week after. Any updates to share? Babies are 6lbs0oz and 7lbs2oz I'm 2cm dilated. The dr pointed out he is free this weekend....I'm not so optimistic. Oh well, 2 weeks from now I will be holding my babies Also my mucous plug is gone, the doctor said he could feel baby a's bottom through the sack. How are you feeling? Hi can I be added? I'm having boy/girl twins EDD Jan 14 (but dr said he won't let me go past 37 wks)

Any updates to share? Mon I had to take 3 hour glucose test because I failed the 1hr by 2 pts! But I passed the 3 hr so yay for no GD! I also got my bag packed today for JUST in case and finished all thank you notes for gifts revived thus far :-) I usually procrastinate, so I'm proud!
How are you feeling? I am very uncomfortable, my back constantly hurts no position makes it better, my stomach sometimes feels like its ripping & sometimes I wish it would just to get some relief (a long hot shower is amazing), and I have to sleep in the living room because acid reflux is so bad I have to be sitting up at all times. But that all being said I love feeling my babies move and I cannot wait to hold them!

He is here!!!!! My son Manny was born 10/22/14 at 8:18 am via scheduled csection. He weighed 8lbs 8oz and 21 inches long! That's tall for our family! My DH and I are both tallest in our immediate families at a whopping 5'4".

Last week after check in we spoke with doc about our options due to babies size. He was measuring between 8lb 9oz and 9lbs 4oz. His head was 96th percentile. Doc did not want us to go vaginal if we hit.41 weeks because he would have issues getting through. We opted for scheduled csection so we didn't chance emergency csection. Doc was afraid (and so were we) that starting labor then going to emergency csection would be too much stress on baby (& me).

It was.a.nice calm morning, the staff is amazing here. I couldn't be happier with my experience, the incision stings like a B!!! I am starting to get up and move around (not on my own yet). I am told I am healing great.

Manny is doing amazing! I am so in love.. he is just so beautiful, I feel like I am having the best.dream ever. I can't believe he's ours! He seems to have a very mellow personality like his daddy (thank God!). He's breastfeeding well his first day.

My mom and sister couldn't thank me enough for being determined enough to battle IF for 4 years to have him. That made me cry. All those sleepless nights in tears were totally worth it. Apparently not to just me & DH.

Any updates to share? I had a beautiful shower on Saturday.  My family went all out with a really tasteful fall theme.  It looked like something out of a magazine!  My friends and family were so incredibly generous too.  I was pretty emotional throughout the whole thing though - I just couldn't believe I was actually at my shower.

How are you feeling? Ok, sore back/hips and I think I'm really starting to feel the weight of the baby now.  If I'm on feet a lot I get a lot of pressure on my pelvis.

 QOTW: Right now it's AHS.  DH and I also really like NCIS.

Any updates to share? Nursery is 80% done! So excited! Hubby finished putting up the diamond plate on the walls, moved in the furniture, bedding arrived and I organized most of the gifts we received. And I had a shower last week hosted by my in laws- it was amazing! Decorated so cute, Panera catered, and people were beyond nice.
How are you feeling? Good. Sleep is a little hard to come by but excited!

Sorry for no check-in last week. I have been busy with the move. Finally slept in the house this week. WOOHOO.

Nursery is starting to get set-up and baby shower is this week.

Starting to feel more tired and all that fun stuff pregnancy feels. 5 weeks left. Swelling in hands is painful and uncomfortable which sucks..but still happy I am pregnant and baby is healthy so far!!

Any updates to share? Baby is still measuring big.  Monday he was measuring 5lb 11oz.  His head and belly are measuring at 38 weeks.  I hope they slow down soon!  I'm still waiting for the finalized induction date.  They told me Nov 16th but the schedule isn't out yet.  Apparently Jackson is head down and turned backwards Dr said in "launch" mode so he could go at any time.
How are you feeling? Good.  Feet are starting to swell and i'm starting to gain weight faster!

How far along are you? 35 weeks + 3
Upcoming appointments? I just had an appointment this Wednesday and Dr was surprised that my blood pressure seems to be better and the swelling in my legs is significantly reduced.  Must be all the lying on the couch and TV I am watching  I am just waiting now to see what the results of my bloodwork and 24 hour urine are.  Next appointment and ultrasound will be on Halloween.  And I have a C-section scheduled for 11-11 (both babies are breech) if I happen to make it that far!    
Any updates to share?  Since I have been home for the last 3 weeks, I have been able to get everything ready.  We are just now waiting for these boys to get here.
How are you feeling? I have been feeling pretty good.  Not working has helped a lot.  I definitely start to feel more tired and uncomfortable when I go out and do things for a couple of hours.

Hi ladies - apologies for the late check-in! 

I'm 34 weeks today, and feeling large. I had an amazing prenatal massage this morning though (the best one by far the entire pregnancy) and feel great today. We got a lot of nursery furniture last week, and I've been busy getting the nursery ready. Will post a picture when done Debating on when to wash the newborn clothes. We also start renovations this Monday, and if all is on time, it should be done the week before my due date. We are crazy, and know it.

I started doing weekly NSTs because of the gestational diabetes, so I've been spending a lot of time at appointments! Not too much longer now.

@dp21, love your beautiful photo. I feel like just yesterday, I saw your announcement picture. How time has flown!
