Sorry for the late update but it's been a crazy week!
marianass- Reading anything good right now? I'm also a big reader and I just started the Outlander series. So far it's really good!
kaly75NariaDreamingblueeyes233, @RG1979cwoodward777, @carrieharry79and all the other knitters/crocheters (we have so many talented ladies in this group)- I am jealous of your skills. I have some handmade blankets from my great grandmother that I still love and use. I wish I had the skill to make my own to pass down.
Twinkie0612 I'm in Lupron hell as well. I can't wait to get off of this stuff!
Spring78Thoughts and prayers to your MIL. Hopefully it's early stages and treatable.
AFM- I'm just injecting the devil's drug every night and waiting to start Estrace on Monday.
QOD- I have a very stressful job (prosecutor) so my free time is all about stress relief. I love to read, fish, boat, swim. Since it's been not quite so hot as usual here in Fla I've spent recent evenings just relaxing by the fire pit. I'm also a sweepstakes junkie and have won some pretty cool stuff.
Me: 32 DH: 37 Married July 2012, TTC since July, 2012 April, 2012: DH undergoes vasectomy reversal October, 2012: DH SA: great count, slightly low motility February, 2013: first consultation with RE, all test normal, unexplained infertility September, 2014: First IVF 1 embie transferred- BFN- but 9 little frosties waiting November, 2014- First FET 2 embies transferred- BFN
March, 2015- Second FET 3 embies transferred- SUCCESS! EDD- 11/25/15
Sorry I am so late for this check in! Nothing new going on here. I am waiting for AF, which should be here in less than a week! At this point, the plan is to start stims on the 27th.
I finalized my meds order with the pharmacy - due to my low response last time, my dr is starting me off with 600 IU Follistim (!) + low dose HCG (and will adjust accordingly through monitoring). The only difference that I noticed in the actual protocol is that I will be triggering with Lupron rather than HCG. From what I have read, that is to prevent OHSS which I will be at higher risk for with the higher dosages.
QOTD: I love baking. I bake custom sugar cookies for weddings, birthdays, showers, etc. but I also love just baking seasonally.
** Losses Mentioned **
Me(32) - Low AMH (0.46) and DH(33) - All good!
May 2014 - IUI (Follistim) = BFP! Ectopic. Surgery June 2014.
August/Sept 2014 - IVF #1. BFP! Chemical Pregnancy.
November 2014 - IVF #2; ER only - PGS testing 3 Frosties.
December 2014 - FET #1 - Beta on 12/17! BFP *It's TWINS*
@RunCC37 - yep 600 iu at once. The pen only goes to 450 so I guess technically two shots. I am hoping that the high dose is just to jump start things and then I can taper down. Last cycle I started at 300 iu and at my first ultrasound (day 4 of stims?) He was not impressed w my response. He bumped me to 450 but i think it was too late to get any additional follicles.

Hello @crazygirl7882!! I have finished Sidney Sheldon's The Tides of Memory, great book! But I like all the types of books.. It is very difficult to find a book that I don't like.. Even YA books are interesting for me "> You are a prosecutor? Wow I admire this job so much, it amazes me.. It looks so difficult and it requires such high skills... Congrats!!!
@Marissa6609 - not too much longer!! I also start estrogen on 10/27 (I'm not stimming because we are doing DE IVF). My former RE was Dr. Mollin.aro from RM.ANJ. I'm not from the Chicago area, but travel 800+ miles one way to see Dr. KK.
@marianass - I'll have to check that one out. I'm always looking for new good reads.

@Marissa6609 I am starting Follistim at 600IU too. I started at 525IU for IVF #3 and had my best cycle yet as far as mature eggs (8 of 8 retrieved were mature), hopefully this bump up in meds can recruit a few more follies...

October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos

January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
I am back in town and reading everyone's updates!! I had a nice trip, but I am glad to be home. Of course this morning I decide to go into the basement to do laundry and fell down the steps. Now I am laying on the couch with an icepack on my shin. It has a nasty scratch and bruise! Fun!
I am so happy to see so many people here. I noticed we were missing a few people from updating!! Please come back and update us!!!

@marianass Awww...thanks for the reply! Yeah I'm really torn about whether to do the genetic testing or not. I'm so nervous it would show that I had no normal embryos or that it would damage them. And should I even go that route if we haven't even tried any fertility treatments ever. Ahhhh! Lol
Anyone in our group trying or have tried PGS?
@ssoennin - i am doing pgs this cycle but have no past experience. We had a chemical pregnancy for ivf 1. To rule out any issues and possibly prevent future losses, we chose this route, hopefully giving ourselves the best shot. I have low amh so egg quality may be an issue (unknown at this point).

@Marissa6609 Yes, I think my husband wants to do that route...to give us the best chance of not having a miscarriage. It means waiting another month... I'm so eager because it took me so long to get my husband into the doc that I'm holding my breath that we're actually doing something! I think I need to slow down and consider the extra testing. So sorry that your first IVF ended in a chemical pregnancy. Hope it goes smoothly this time for you! I really appreciate your feedback and thoughts.
@ssoennin - I know exactly how you feel about waiting another month! I was very eager for ivf 1 in declined pgs because i felt it was unnecessary because we had not previously had a miscarriage, just low amh, but having to freeze all and wait a month further convinced me I wanted a fresh cycle, and I wanted it now. However, since then my opinion has changed and possibly preventing the emotional roller coaster of a failed cycle or loss is so worth the additional month for me. Best of luck to you too!!

@Marissa6609 Ugh. Today my nurse told me it is too late to add PGS, which is frustrating because that's not what the doc indicated last Thursday. They gave me the new nurse from another clinic which is frustrating, too. And my doc is out until Monday. Looks like I'm stuck with a regular cycle. Apparently there's all this planning with the PGS that she didn't mention when she told us about it on Thursday that it is too late to do. *sigh* That just made me so stressed that I cried all the way home from work.
@ssoennin- well that's a bummer! I hate it when i stress over something that I end up not having any control over...that's so frustrating. Did you already start stims? My dr just needed to know before we started cycling so he could make sure the meds were correct. Hopefully this is your cycle and this stress will all be left in the dust
