@panda100 I'm so glad you started this thread. My RE wants to switch me to diluted hgc instead of Menopur for my next cycle. He said that there have been some studies that showed a few women had better results with the diluted hgc instead of the Menopur, but in general the results were about the same. He's switching as a way to save money since I'm OOP and the diluted hgc will be a lot less expensive than Menopur.

Sorry I didnt update! My cycle turned out pretty good actually. My RE said she was shocked (in a good way) about how I responded. I had 17 follicles, 14 were mature, 10 fertilized, 6 made it to day 5 & we are waiting on the PGD results. That said, we have to put the whole TTC on hold now because of my husband's health, so we wont do an FET for now.
DH : 36, has Chronic Kidney Disease, on dialysis & is waiting on the transplant list (average wait for B+ is 5 years)

Yeah, The RE was shocked...I think I ended up consoling her, it was a weird phone call ! :-) She said, she has never seen an 84% not viable in a case like mine & she had expected 50% viability at minimum once they made to blast.
I just told myself that we at least got one. DH is a Kidney patient (needing a transplant) so that may have had something to do with it too. Kidney disease is terrible it affects the body in so many ways unfortunately. I don't think I have the mental energy to go through this again with all the other stuff that's going on with DH's health as well, just tired and ready to give up...

@panda100 I wanted to update you with my protocol- I'm supposed to start with Gonal-F 300 and Dilute HCG 20. Depending on AF, I should probably start stimming the week of 17 Nov.

Mini update. I just finished stimming with 10 units of hCG and Follistim using an antagonist protocol. I stimmed for 11 days and triggered on the 12th day. LH got as high as 3.75 on day 10, but P4 stayed low, 1.04 at it's highest on day 12. The antagonist, Cetrotide, was added on day 11. On day 12 I had 26 follicles ranging from 12.6 to 22.7mm. ER will be tomorrow so I'll update with how many were mature then.
Pricing update: I found out that even at the expensive local specialty pharmacy, the total I was prescribed will just be $110 OOP (no insurance coverage). The pharmacist was very clear that it only will last me nine days, so is breaking my order up, so I will get more when/if I run out. As a result, I'll only pay $55 when I pick it up. Menopur is almost $80 per 75 iu and I was always on 150 or higher, so using dilute hcg is going to save me so much money!
ETA: The pharmacist said because it is compounded, it will only be effective for nine days after compounding, so I would need to get fresh if I needed to take it after nine days.

@panda100 - my LH was 2.85 on stim day 5, but then went down from there (1.8 - 0.7 at time of trigger on stim day 11). I should mention ganirelix was started on stim day 5 too.
My progesterone was not monitored during stims.

@panda100 Unfortunately, I had to convert to an IUI since I ended up with a dominant follicle after just four days of stimming! My RE doesn't think it has anything to do with the meds; its likely due to the fact that I didn't do any suppression before I started the meds, because my ovulation was late, but my period was on time and started the same day I was supposed to start the EPP, followed by Ganirelix. If my IUI isn't successful, we'll definitely suppress me next time. I don't know if that means we'll do EPP or BCPs. And we'll still do the low dose hcg.
Thanks for sharing the Freedom Pharmacy price- that's what they quoted me, but they didn't tell me it was good for 28 days. My local specialty pharmacy was going to charge me $110 for the full quantity, but it was only good for 9 days, so they broke it up and gave me half for $55. Since I trigger tonight, I didn't need to get the other half.
