L&D sucks

OB sent me to L&D after my appointment today. BP was high (150/100), protein in urine was high. Babies are doing ok, but I am having some contractions. DH came up to bring me food but he and DS1 are heading home soon to sleep. This bed is horrible and all these monitors are driving me nuts. They are doing a 24hr urine collection so I'm here until tomorrow @4pm for sure.

I was already on medication and it wasn't keeping it low enough for my OB. Now that they are done poking me it has gone down a little (143/92). So now I'm just waiting to see how labs turn out tomorrow.

The bed is one of those that the bottom half comes off for when you have to push, I think that is why it is so uncomfortable. At least they removed all the monitors so I could sleep. Now if I could just sleep

If you have to stay overnight at L&D and they offer you an ambien, you should just take the dose the doctor recommends. My dumbass was like can I have half a dose? Guess who didn't sleep LOL

L&D beds are the worst I'm so sorry! When I was in the hospital for the weekend they ended up beinging me a new bed after the first day. It was like heaven. If you end up having to stay longer (fingers crossed you don't) ask them for a normal bed. They should understand! GL

I was in there overnight a couple of weeks ago and I didn't sleep all night. I wish they had offered me an ambien because I definitely would have taken it. Those beds are the worse! Hope you get to come home soon and hope everything is ok with you and your babies.

Sorry that you are stuck in L&D - I remember with DS1, I was completely exhausted after my C-section but couldn't sleep because of all the monitors. It sucked!

Hopefully you are able to relax and yay for fancy breakfast! Food makes everything better. FX that your BP goes down and that the twins are able to bake a little longer.
