Last night Allison took her first couple of steps for DH. I was a little mopey for missing it due to working late.
This morning I woke up a little early (thanks to @kaylakim). Allison started babbling two minutes after I got up (I swear she has a 6th sense). We snuggled and she took a couple of steps for me.
I stayed up too late watching tv with DH. Then DD woke twice. I just woke to DS crying that he peed in his diaper. He is potty trained, but needs a diaper at night still. I thought maybe he felt himself pee and did not want a wet diaper. Nope, he and his bed were soaked. Just had to strip his bed and change him. My alarm goes off in 1/2 hour so might as well stay up. I need lots of coffee today!
Morning! @Stina2012 good luck today! @LauraB1016 Yay for first steps glad you got to see them. @maryannespier Oshkosh has the cutest fall line..I went a little crazy online. Have fun! ~O) for all the tired.... I'll be drinking a pot this morning too. Didn't sleep well LO has been restless pretty sure we are in the molars are coming club. Also, couldn't stop thinking about the daycare situation.
Have been going to bed super early these past few days (for me, this is 10PM). Not surprisingly, I can get up easier in the morning now (either alarm or baby. Never later than 6:15). Why didn't I think of this before?!?!
Another walker here, too! Well, sorta walker. A few steps at a time - but on purpose, and no sneaky-parents-pull-away-without-baby-noticing trick.
Good luck on the final walkthrough @stina2012 and coffee (or naps, whatever works for you) for all the tired mommas!
So glad you tried getting up early @LauraB1016 keep at it and you'll hopefully LOVE it and it'll be a good time of day for you. At least one of my kids gets up early everyday so it's rare for me to be alone but I still try every day!
@linzland my first day back from summer break was last week. It's gotten better every day since!
I'm feeling tired today but looking forward to a few short days of work before my four day weekend! Last night I noticed a few teeny tiny vegetables growing in my small planter garden the kids and I planted. So exciting!
Crazy night last night. DH had just left to get us dinner and G was ripping apart the fridge while I made his dinner. I heard a crash in the living room. Our cat was on the ground, tail puffed, eyes huge and he wasn't using his back legs. He started dragging his back legs around by pulling with the front and acting so weird. Was thinking he was having a seizure. DH got home and I left with Weston to go to the vet. By the time we got there everything was normal and he was really calm. He's running around and jumping just fine this morning thankfully!
Making pancakes to freeze for later. All the windows are open because it's beautiful out and enjoying my coffee! Weston is enjoying watching the birds outside.
Last night I woke up because A's angel care alarm was going off. Only I could barely hear it because the monitor broke. I ran into his room and turned it off (he rolled into the corner), but I couldn't figure out why his monitor wasn't working. Found the old monitor and set it up, but then I couldn't go back to sleep because I kept hearing the alarm in my head and I was convinced the 2nd alarm wasn't working. Soooo tired! Stupid ass monitor!!
So smart @Muirmaid. I have almost a half pot everyday...somedays I drink more. Years and years and years ago I drank my weight in soda and now I drink now. I just went from one thing to another. I have noticed since drinking my shakes 2x a day, my coffee intake has decreased so there is that....
I can't even keep up with lurking this week! We're still working on unpacking everything. P has been really patient, even when I have to put him in the PNP to get stuff done. I can't wait until all of the big furniture is anchored and the fragile stuff is all put away so that he can crawl around where he wants to go.
Right now, he's "unpacking" a box of DVD's for me. And he's having a blast!
Morning! ~O) all around, especially those with a lack of sleep.
Mason wiped out in the tub last night and bit his tongue which caused him to spit blood. I pretty much freaked out. He seems fine today though, tugging at my leg and screaming like every other morning. I'm hoping this constant crying/screaming and inability to be happy no matter what I do is just a phase.~X(
As I walked in the door this morning after work, DD tells me there was a bat in the house last night. DH confirmed this to be true. It got in thru the chimney.
Well, I feel stupid. Am I the only one who has forgotten the 24-hours fever-free rule? On my way to daycare to pick up the lad.
ETA: I guess I'm not the only one since DH didn't realize it, either. And then there was that DC worker who smiled and nodded when I said, "See you tomorrow, hopefully!"
Ours doesn't call fever until 100.4. 99 is a regular day for us.
It was 100.2 when they called. Their rule is 101 with no other symptoms, 100 with a symptom. They said he was lethargic, but they called right when he woke up from a nap. #-o
Hmmm. Methinks maybe they just didn't want to deal.
@maryannespier, have fun at Oshkosh! That is my favorite store for clothes for the boys (that and Old Navy). I need to hit the outlets soon, myself, for more 3T fall stuff for Landon. Poor Caleb mostly gets his brother's hand me downs
Influx of ILs continues. She now wants to bring her motorized scooter. Which is heavy and huge and won't fit in our car without taking it apart and folding down our third row. Not happening. So DH is too exhausted and fed up to deal with her (battle her) so I have to call her and break the news to her. If she brings the thing it's staying at the airport.
However, we did clean the kids room which included rearranging so there is more room for playing in there. It looks a million times better and the flow is much better. So that's a huge plus.
Also, just because it's funny. DH asked me last night when my "period thing" will be over. It wrapped up on Sunday. I told him I'd let him know.
Haddy keeps trying to eat the windowsills, baby gates and my dining room table. What the heck, kid?
For all the coffee drinking ladies, I'm on my third cup of the morning! I would drink coffee occasionally before pregnancy and didn't drink hardly any during pregnancy and didn't drink any while nursing Haddock, but as soon as I he hit three months and I stopped nursing him, I now drink ALL the coffee
I feel like I might've liked my Galaxy better than my new iPhone. Maybe I just need to get used to it? I will say that the scroll feature sucks and it takes forever to get to the bottom of a page.
Oh, and the neighbour boy had his 6th birthday last week, and the girls got pool noodle light sabres (the neighbours are really cool - they always do cool, themed birthday parties). They LOVED them.
I hope everyone ones week improves...since it hump day! I haven't slept well but primarily with because of the move stuff on mt mind. Side note, has anyone had housekeeper do final move out cleaning? I have 2 bedrooms plus a den. Do you think 4 hours is enough?
@mermomo5 I do miss how big my screen was. Especially since I watch hulu on it at the gym. I'm thinking of just taking my Galaxy in there and running my wifi, I should be able to do that, right? It is kind of nice that my phone isn't ginormous anymore, though.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Also, omg A15 has so much dramz. Yesterday somebody (who did have a real avatar instead of a generic, for once) flipped out when her complaining-about-name-posts post didn't go the way she wanted and started calling others troll bitches.
(It took me like four tries to type complaining correctly, I'm too tired to spell)
Damn teething. I was super busy yesterday trying to make LO feel better (which included his sister and I dancing around the house and falling over just to make him laugh) that I missed this! Going to read now...
I was just lurking A15 since I went to read the name thread mentioned and I am laughing so hard at the Accidentally ate tuna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!! Thread. So funny.
Thank you @casey78 those tips are going to be very helpful!
I've gone to the gym two days in a row so far and I've eaten healthier the past two days and I've only had water and coffee to drink. I feel a lot better
Dropped G off at daycare and have an hour or so before work. Doing a bit of window shopping online for grooming supplies for work. With the holidays coming up, we are going to get crazy busy. Wish I had all the monies to buy all the pretty tools.
We've been watching the shake it off video on my phone. It actually holds Alexa's attention and she signs more when it stops, so I have heard the song way more times than one should.
I think the little cheer/talking portion of the song is so stupid and unnecessary!
I have now accomplished 4 of the 5 things on my TCOB to-do list, including making an appointment with my OB for my overdue yearly :-SS DH is taking care of the 5th thing for me, and Luke is crib-napping again (3 days in a row!). Back to the books while it lasts....

The nanny got Haddy to nap and now I'm going to work for half an hour longer, shower and then get ready for the evening. A friend is coming over to visit and then we're headed to the fair again
It feels good to be getting everything caught up with work and the new accountants. I'm starting to feel a little relief, thank goodness.
Now, if we could just get the house we're renovating wrapped up, we'd be in good shape! We're contemplating moving to the house we're renovating because it's in a nicer location (on 6 acres on a dirt road), but the house we live in now is nicer than the house we're renovating (but in town), so, it's a tough call. I know we'll eventually end up moving out of this house but it's going to be so bittersweet because it's the first home we've ever bought that we've lived in. We renovated our current home and it's beautiful and old and has a lot of character. I don't want to move until we find a house that is as equally as nice but larger. Even the thought of moving out of this house makes me sad We'll probably never sell this home but we'd end up renting it out, and I know no one will take care of it the way we have.

All is good in the B house this morning.
I'll be back this afternoon with something more positive.
