Prepping for final days before baby

any final things you are doing before baby comes? I feel like I am getting a lot done, ready, etc. but looking to see if there was anything creative or easy to forget about that you wished you done ahead of time.

Yeah, resting and relaxing. Because once newborn is here, it's go time.
Agreed! Enjoy time to do NOTHING, relax, get extra naps in, and do things you want (pamper yourself a bit) after baby is born it will be a while before you can do it again.
Yes! Take a bath, relax and nap! The only thing I plan on doing again this time around is make a few more frozen meals to have ready: enchiladas, pot roast, lasagna, chili, meatballs, etc.. We don't live near any family so the cliche of people bringing us casseroles isn't a reality. It's so nice to know that when you finally realize you need to eat that you can throw a pan of homemade food in the oven for 20 minutes and get a real meal instead of what you have the energy and time to make: nothing.

These all sound amazing. I don't have room for a bunch of frozen meals in my freezer though :'(

I do need to start cleaning up though for this LOs arrival. DH is pretty much 0 help in that category.

We have an extra small stand alone freezer in the garage that I got for $100 off a local yard sale site, that's the only way it works for us this time around. I actually got it after DD was born because frozen breastmilk was taking over! lol I store the chili and enchiladas in freezer bags after they're cooked so they don't take up a lot of room and once they're frozen you can stand them up in the back. I wasn't able to do the lasagna last time for the same reason as you.

For cleaning up I give DH like a 30 minute warning when it needs to happen. Last weekend (since we're both too tired on weekday nights now) I all of a sudden decided it was time to move furniture around that needs to move for DS's arrival and I told him "you have 20 min but this is happening today". I find that he's more responsive if I lay the day's plan out for him with a little warning, but still have to be the motivator when it's time to get moving. There's no room for complaining about cleaning when you aren't the one carrying a baby! If I'm getting my butt up off the couch you better believe you're coming with me. :)

I echo PP's.  Get a pedicure or massage, take a nap, stock up on frozen food or easy to prepare food, and find someone to clean your house.

The biggest projects involving sorting and purging (things like the fridge and the pantry, cabinets etc...) The main reason is because we need to be very smart with our space and it will serve us best to organize and purge the pantry and make room for LOs formula and bottles NOW than to try to do it later after it's built up. I already did it with our bathroom closet and OUR bedrooms closets and things as simple as storing extra bedsheets in a spot actually created for them, rather than finding a closet that "kind of has room" has worked out really well for us. :)

We know that baby will be fine if he shows up early and these things aren't done - we are just trying to create a shorter "to-do" list before he gets here!

This sounds like what I have been doing so far, but your right if baby comes early it will be fine too.

I'm wanting to go and get a haircut soon before baby, so I feel nice and pretty as I can! :) and I'd really like to go to the drive in with DD and DH if I can. Love the drive in, I get to wear my jammies and don't have to try to be cutesy!!

This too. I need to do this. My hair is waist length right now (longest it's ever been!) and I really don't want to deal with this much hair when little guy is here.

I just had my hair cut on Wednesday. It was in an awful stage and it was making me feel so more unattractive than I already feel right now, so I decided to cut it off and I love it! It is so much easier to take care of and I really like the way it looks. Made me feel like a new woman! Lol!

My due date was yesterday and we are working on several significant house projects (e.g., moving the driveway, building a retaining wall). We moved to this house just before 3rd trimester and these are all projects we planned to finish a couple of months ago. I can honestly say that I do feel distracted. But too distracted.

Seriously, ditto all the posts above about carving out some you time. Hot springs, pedicure, haircut, massage,.... and hire someone to clean the floors and bathtubs that you can't reach anyway. This last one is especially true for us with a 3 year old!
