PCO- not S?

So my past few t/v u/s I have been told I have "a lot of resting follicles" all around the outside of my ovaries. In a chain. And my CD3 LH is elevated so I shouldn't bother with OPK's. I feel like I have tried to clarify this several times and I am not really getting a clear answer. I am not diagnosed as having PCOS but those things, plus the irregular cycles, sound like it to me. When I said that to the NP at my RE office last time, she said you can have poly cystic ovaries at times without necessarily having the "syndrome". I guess because my testosterone is not elevated. I mean I know they are the experts, but that sounds like crazy talk to me. Any one have any thoughts/experience with this?

I have the same issue...no other issues other than the polycystic ovaries. I just got dx in November, so I don't know much about it. Currently trying Pregnitude to see if that helps me regulate before moving on to the RE and other things.

Thanks for your answers ladies! As always very helpful. I don't have issues with over stimming though, even at really high doses I just always have a ton of little follicles that don't want to grow :-( My PCP actually prescribed metformin "just in case" but I haven't been back to my regular RE to discuss if I should take it or not. He is off in another country doing good things or something lol. So I have been with different NPs all month. I am hoping he is back tomorrow for my IUI. Sincerely, you guys are so great. Everytime I feel like I am drowning in frustrations and feel like the only person on the planet who has stupid ovaries, you are here to save the day. Thank you.
