Share a Weird Fact

The post about not calling your doctor yet made me think of this story. People always laugh when they hear it so I figured it would be fun if some of us shared weird stories as a GTKY (doesn't have to be pregnancy-related.) 

Anyway, here is mine: 

I almost qualified to be on that TLC show I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant. I'm kidding. However, it was a really long time till I knew I was pregnant. I still got periods for a few months and then randomly no period one month ( I say random bc we'd put baby making on the back burner so we could move from CA to TX.) We went to the doctor expecting to see a little "bean" and there was our son, waving at us! My husband turned sheet white and I almost fell off the exam table laughing.

Separation anxiety I can understand, but that's crazy that cats can have eating disorders!

I can't think of a weird fact but I love the posts! I'll have to get back with a weird fact when I think of one.

Edited because I think I really didn't understand the point of the thread when I posted.

Weird fact about me: I gave away a kidney three years ago to a stranger I have never met. I can also move my baby toes independently of my others. Weird general fact: a hippos milk and sweat are both pink.

Umm a fun fact about me is that my daughter, my mother, and I all have birthmarks on our right knees.

The male giraffe will continuously headbutt the female in the bladder until she pees. The male then tastes the pee and that helps it determine whether the female is ovulating. If she is, we all know what happens next!

In ice cream commercials, the ice cream is actually mashed potatoes. In pancake commercials, syrup is actually motor oil.

The mashed potatoes makes sense so there's no melting, but why motor oil? That is weird.

Here's a semi-baby related one: You're born with 300 bones But by the time you become an adult, you only have 206. No wonder babies/kids are so much more flexible!

The mashed potatoes makes sense so there's no melting, but why motor oil? That is weird.

It looks better on camera - real syrup is absorbed too quickly into the pancake!

Random fact: Anatidaephobia is the pervasive, irrational fear that, somewhere in the world, a duck is watching you. The person believes that no matter where they are or what they are doing, a duck is watching them.

Hahahaha, aw, maybe I shouldn't find this so funny, since it is a real fear apparently, but I lol'd for real when I read this

@twistsandturnsto2 I know about extreme mirror image twin situations because my sister (identical twin) and I are technically mirror image because I'm right handed and she's left handed. But that is so cool that your heart is on the other side! I've only heard of cases where organs are on opposite sides.

@chusum very cool! It was pretty neat when we were younger, our hair whirls are opposites, our teeth came in in mirror image, but we did end up being the same handedness( leftys).

My husband is a two-time Jeopardy! champion.

But I guess that isn't about me, but it's still fun!  I guess about me - I once placed third in the CPR competition in the Lifeguard Olympics.

Looking back, it likely wasn't THE lifeguard olympics, just a SF Bay Area thing. BUT STILL!

I was born missing a vertebrae in my back! I found out when I had to get hip x-rays while I was a ballet dancer and the doctor noticed it. No biggie!

I'd believe it! My old roommate's cat could only be fed small amounts of food twice a day. Any more than that and she would gorge herself and then vomit everywhere. Pretty annoying.
