I'm sure a cell free DNA test (Harmony, verifi etc) will be covered for you, OP, given the results of your NT scan. It's noninvasive and highly accurate. They take a sample of your blood and look for the baby's DNA and then they can check for a number of chromosomal abnormalities, including trisomy 21.
I second everyone's comments on the Harmony Test. My first odds were 1:32, second came back 1:7 for Downs. Did the Harmony Test and it said 1:10,000 and is a far more accurate test because it looks at fetal DNA (while the screening is just looking at trends not actual problems/DNA). I highly recommend you do this test as…
Because I just turned 35 a few weeks ago, my OB recommended I do a new blood test called Free Cell DNA, where they are actually able to extract the baby's DNA through my blood and test for the same things as the NT...it's supposed to be as accurate as an amnio for testing for Downs Syndrome. I got the blood work done last…
MarisaKathleen:Stupid quote trees. I understand what Hyline and Rora are saying, really I do.nbsp; I just disagree, that's all. I realize arrest doesn't always equal guilt, but if I'm arrested and I'm innocent, I don't know whynbsp;I wouldn't want that proven by a more accurate measure, such as a DNA swab. Why can't trey…
I read about this dna/blood test that you can do it about 10 weeks to determine the sex of the baby. It is supposedly very accurate, but costs about $250. Did anyone do this or is anyone planning to do this?
search the board. it's a test to find out genetic issues not just the "gender". it is 100 percent accurate and it uses baby DNA. please read the other threads about this
I think it's something like over 99% accurate. They get th babies DNA and there is either a Y chromosome or an X with the fetal cells so it's pretty legit.
I actually used DNA solutions instead of affiliated genetics (heard great things about affiliated though!) and results are 99.9% accurate, quick and easy and got the results back within 1.5 weeks of sending them in. It was $100
Um, there is no baby DNA in your pee... that test is about as accurate as the Chinese Gender Chart... it's 50/50 either way. I'd just wait for your u/s.
The Harmony test is 99% accurate. If they didn't find any Y chromosome DNA floating around in your blood they can assume with great confidence you are having a girl!
