  • Re: Postpartum Health & Fitness

I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight, but that is way up from where I was a few years ago/where I'd like to be ideally, so I have a lot of work to do. I'm only 5 weeks pp so I have a week or so to wait and see if I can get back into things.

It's been so hot and humid here, that I haven't been out walking much which I hate. I'm hoping once I'm cleared to work out, I can use our elliptical and do some hand weights to start and then get into some DVDs and yoga classes once or twice a week.

Appetite wise, I'm definitely eating more than I was at 2 weeks pp, when I felt like I was losing a ton of weight and not wanting to eat much. I'm also enjoying a little wine every day so that probably isn't helping the weight loss. Ah well.

While I'd like to be about 2-3 sizes smaller than I am right now, I'm giving myself a break and giving myself a chance to lose the weight as I can. Being a mom of a daughter, I am now so mindful of wanting to have a positive body image (which I have never really had) and teaching her to be healthy and happy in her skin one day.

  • Re: Postpartum mental health check in and PPD/PPA support

This first 2 weeks postpartum were definitely the toughest. I feel like finally on the 3rd week we've gotten the hang of things and are feeling more with it and dealing with the sleep/feed routines. I'm hoping it only gets better from here on out!
