Doc monitoring for beginning stages of preeclampsia....getting nervous for c-section!!

Anyone else that had preeclampsia? I go in for more testing tomorrow and would guess that I have a c-section on Thursday or Friday. Ahhhh!!!!!

you might want to post on the preemie board. ?there are so many mom's there who had pre-e. ?they're wonderful and so helpful. ?

i was admitted to the hospital at 32 weeks for the beginning stages of pre-e. i ended up delivering at 33w2d because of it - it wasn't full-blown at that point yet, but it was imminent, and i was extremely uncomfortable, so my doc delivered the boys. so just because you have early stages of it now, doesn't mean you have to deliver very soon.

I had the beginning stages of it at 28 weeks with Chris and almost delivered at 31 weeks when my urine had more protien in it. They gave me steriods and put me back on bedrest. I delivered at 35 weeks after I was admitted at 34w5d when my bp spiked at 175/115, I had 500+ protien in my urine and my liver function test showed that my liver was failing. They decided to deliver the next day when I started having a headache with spots and my liver was failing more. I was going into multiple organ failure. They didn't get me into the OR until around 12:30ish and he was delivered at 1 am.

My c-section with Jonathan and Matthew was a breeze. I felt nothing and recovery was very quick as well. I left the hospital only needing an occational pain med.

I'm sorry! But, the good news is that you're so far along now that the babies will be fine if born today. My two were born at 35w6d and had no NICU time. Good luck, and I hope you stay healthy.
