Back from my 12 week appointment!

The doctor couldn't find the hb on the doppler, so we had an ultrasound. The baby looks great! 165 bpm! The baby did a dolphin kick and DH asked if that was me moving or the baby - he was so surprised the baby moved so much!

DH also asked if it was a boy or a girl, obvi a little early, but the tech said she thinks she knows what it is but won't say until I see her again at 15 weeks!

So in 3 weeks, I start my weekly appointments, having an exam and an u/s every other week.

How fun! Our little person was curled up in the fetal position sleeping I guess at our 12 weeks u/s. It was def. more active like yours at our 9 week.

Awww so exciting!! I bet you are dying to find out the sex! Did you have a mini heart attack when they couldn't find the heartbeat at first? You lucked out though and got an ultrasound!

No I don't mind. I had a conoscopy 2 years ago, so I am at risk for an incompetent cervix. I have to go every week so they can make sure I am not thinning or dialating, and if I start to, I will get a cerclage.

YAY! How are you feeling?

Starting to feel a little better. Had some sort of stomach thing last night that was awful. I called the on call doctor to see what I could take or what I should do, and he thought it was a severe case of heartburn, had me drink ginger ale and take some malox. I passed out a few minutes later and woke up better. My doctor this morning said she hopes it isn't heartburn because that won't be fun for the next 28 weeks.

So exciting to see the little one! Enjoy the weekly appointments (I think!)! I go for weekly cervix length u/s too. Even though it's trans-vag, you'll be amazed at what you can still see your little one do! I get to see LO punch my bladder most weeks! You'll also be amazed at how much the baby can really grow in a week! I hope everything goes okay for you and you don't need a cerclage!
