  • I just started using it. I usually put it all over my belly but really focus on my sides because that is where I have a couple marks already and I dont want them to become worse.
  • Nope, and I don't plan on it. Your genes determine whether or not you get stretch marks, no amount of cream is going to change that. Use regular lotion to save yourself some money!

  • I use regular lotion on my legs, arms, belly, hips, and boobs.
  • I use Mama Bee Belly Butter (by Burt's Bees).  I know it won't prevent marks, but it soothes the skin and feels really good to keep my skin moist so it won't itch and will stretch gently as needed.

I use regular Lubriderm...costs less and no cocoa butter!  I agree with MT, If you are going to get them no lotion will stop it..... I just hate the itchiness....

Ditto.  I use a lotion with vitamin e to help with dry skin but I don't think you can do anything to change your gene make up.

  • Used Mustella with DS....I was obsessed, and only got very minor marks at the very, very, end of my pregnancy with him. I slathered it on everywhere I could!

Now, those minor marks, are beginning to turn into more substantial marks, and I have been using Mama Bee by Burts Bees.  Half the cost of Mustella 9  Months-I just can't justify the $35. + price tag for it this time around!

It is true, genetics play a huge role in wether or not you'll get them and to what degree.  But the thick cream sure does feel good, much better than regular lotion, IMO....(and I can't stand the sent of cocoa butter--I know, I must be the only one!)

  • I use Palmers - I have one bottle /w cocoa butter & one w/o it. I think only one of them actually claims to be for stretch marks though, the other is just lotion. My mother got them for me.

I started using it right after I found out I was pregnant. Initially I used it after showering on my belly, hips and breasts, but lately the winter weather has made my skin really dry and my expanding belly is quite itchy, so I use it all over in the morning and at night.

  • I've been using Cocoa Butter since I found out to be safe. I heard that it doesn't matter what you use though.

Amen.  I use the same lotion I did before I got KU.

When did you start? Around week 8

Were are you putting? Boobs, tummy all over... sides, top and bottom, hips, butt and thighs.

While it is said that if you are going to get them you are going to get them.  I still believe in not going down without a fight!  I would have rather tried and got them than done nothing and wondered what if.  I currently alternate between the tub of Tummy Honey Butter and Mambino's oh baby! belly butter.  The Tummy Honey Butter doesn't soak in as well so I use that when I don't have to get dressed right away. The Mambino soaks in quicker but I still have to wait around 10 minutes before I put any clothing on.

  • I use Bioderm's cream but not because I'm worried about stretch marks but more because it stops the insane itching I get on both sides of my former waist. The itching drives me nutso and this is so soothing and smells so good.
