Snarky and T-TTC

Update on my student

I posted yesterday evening about my student that was in a terrible accident.  It appears that there has been some improvement. He has actually been somewhat responsive to requests for him to move hands and feet.  It's still a long road, but there's finally some hope.

Apparently the surgeon told the family that he may not have even tried to do surgery on an adult with a similar injury because there was so little chance for survival.  The nurses have been calling him the "1%-er."  Doctors are much more guarded, of course, but more optimistic than yesterday when all we heard was "he's probably not going to make it."

Keep praying please. I really hate that I'm not at school today.

***************************** Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.
