I was also 18 weeks for my big ultrasound and my little boy weighed 8 oz as well. Seemed so little for how long he was though. But I was told it was normal.

Hmmmm.... I have no idea! I saw all kinds of body parts (except the money shot) but neither the tech nor the perinatologist said anything about the baby's weight except that he/she was "measuring perfectly" and "right on schedule."
18 weeks 5 days, and baby weighed 15.5 oz. He was measuring 20 wk 2 days with the head and other measurements... The U/S monitor was showing May 30 as a due date, and I'm sitting there thinking, "WHAT? He's due June 11!"
My doctor is not changing my due date. I had a dating ultrasound done at 8 weeks, and from what they tell me, they're pretty accurate... doc thinks he's just a big baby - after all, DH and I are both taller, larger-framed people, weighing 8 and 9 pounds at birth... so I'm guessing that DS will be a big boy, too. Let's just hope he's not too big
Re: If you have had your big u/s already...
Mine was at 20 weeks 4 days and the baby weighed about 14 oz.
BTW I measured 1 week ahead of my due date.
