As I posted last Friday, my OB was only able to find one heartbeat using the doppler device. Today I went to my peri for a followup u/s and I am so happy and relieved to report that both babies are just fine.
The u/s tech spent a good bit of time doing some anatomical measurements so she pointed out the brain, stomach, bladder, leg bones, spine, etc. What an amazing experience to see those little body parts! I just kept thinking, I can't wait to kiss those hands, those legs, that belly!
I was also relieved to learn that the pool of subchorionic blood has shrunk. According to my peri, it is now "miniscule compared to the size of the babies" and he said "you should let yourself believe that good things are going to happen." I guess I have been a bit of a worrywart this past month!
Thanks to everyone for your support and encouragement. I am looking forward to a boring 4 weeks until the big anatomical u/s!

My blog * We made the national news!
that is great news!
that sucks your OB doesn't have an US machine in the office... the wait must have been horrible!
We had a REALLY hard time finding the HB's last night with our doppler - it's usually not that hard... it took a long time for either of them to show up- i was starting to get worried and was going to call the OB for an US this morning- but then at the last minute we found both of them. They were playing games with us! I had been sick all week so it was making me really nervous- those babies! ugh!
glad your little trickster was found!
