Fried Pickles!

in 1st Trimester

I love my DH!!!! He's bringing me home (on his way home from work) fried pickles again tonight (see blog for pickle stories)! I am not taking any of my vitamins or prometrium until AFTER I eat them tonight since I was so sick last night.

You guys, fried pickles are the best!

    I love fried pickles!!! We have a great bar near us (smoke-free of course) that has 1/2 price appetizers. I just introduced my mother-in-law to them over the weekend and she had 2 baskets!!

    We had them at the bar I worked at in college! ?The key is dipping them in ranch dressing!! ? I wonder if I can find them here... I'm doing a google search as we speak because they sound so good!!

    So here's the question of the night - spears or chips? I'll take either. 

    khg - do they have applebee's (crapplebees) in Chicago? I know ours has fried pickles!

    I've never had the chips.. only spears! ?But I'm a total pickle junkie!! ?Yeah, we have Crapplebee;s here... so funny you call it that!! ?I actually worked at one in High School!! ?LOL! Hilarious!! ?

    I think I know where I'll be having lunch tomorrow!! ?:o)?

    Oh good! They are good there, but I prefer them without the Dorito ranch like spices they put on top. Sorry, I hope that didn't offend you - it's just what everyone calls it around here (I'm not a huge chain fan), but they do have some darn good fried pickles! haha

    What!? I've never heard of fried pickles?????? I've been to applebees many many times in both OR and WA and have NEVER seen them there??? I'll have to go call them or something. Friend Pickles...so weird

    KF - uh oh, I hope it's not regional! They are SOOOO good - you have to find them somewhere. A lot of bar/grill type places seem to have them.

    Outlawless - He's stopping at Jonathan's in Cool Springs on his way home.  Not sure that's the BEST place to get them, but he got them there last night and they were amazing!  Were are you? We live in Spring Hill.

    I am from TN too! I live in Murfreesboro but when I lived in Nashville Jonathan's was my favorite place for fried pickles. The seasoning in the batter they are fried in is awesome!!

    We're in Hermitage.  Jonathan's are definitely good.  If you want some a little more "country-fied" there's always *** of the Walk.  Don't try them if you can't deal with the grease though!

    hmm I never go up that way, but I may be on a quest to try every fried pickle in town during this pregnancy :) hehe

    DH just called - 20 minutes til pickle time - I can hardly contain myself!

    Yep, it is by Opryland.  They specialize in catfish and all things deep fried.  Not for the light stomach.

    I love fried dill pickles - chips only please.  In CA all we could find was the spears but in TX it seems like they are everywhere & as chips.  I've never ever seen them at an Applebee's though.
