How many burp cloths do you need?

I have eight burp cloths and about 1,000 receving blankets.?

    Go get yourself a 12 pack of the cloth diapers~they are great to use as burpcloths~and you'll be set!

    I never used one single burp cloth persay... instead we got a bunch of those cloth diapers (Gerber) and that's what we use instead! I love them! And my mom sewed really cute fabric down the middle of them to liven them up! We use a new one each day--- sometimes 2.

    You need a lot more than 8 unless you're going to do laundry every day! :)

    I have at least 8 burp cloths and love having all of them.  If LO spits up a lot,  you'll probably need more.  That being said, some people use receiving blankets as burp cloths.

    I go through a lot of burp cloths (2-3 a day), so depending on how much laundry you want to do... :) But DS spits up a lot...

    My MIL cut up a pack of 3 receiving blankets and made me 12 super cute burp cloths. They were actually cheaper (and cuter) than burp cloths.?

    Son #1: 12.27.08 (6 years)
    Son #2: 02.06.12 (2.5 yrs)
    Baby #3 due: 02.10.15 (It's a girl!)

    dh just changed our sheets and found 12 of them, lol.  ds has been drooling like a faucet since 2 months and we carry one around with us where ever we go.  I'd return some of the 1,000 receiving blankets and buy at least 2 dozen burp cloths/ cloth diapers...

    That's exactly what I have. I also have regular burp cloths, but I only use those to wipe drool...they are way to small to actually use as a burp cloth!

    With #1 I used maybe 2 per day. This kid I go through 10-15 per day.

    Blankets I used all of them for both kids often. I think we have 25-30.
