I have Baby Bargains and it is great. I haven't read it cover to cover but it definitely helps when you are doing research for things like strollers, cribs, mattresses, basically anything!
I enjoyed one called Baby Gizmos, I got it from the library. It doesn't recommend specific products, though there is a website by the same name that does. The book does give you plenty of ideas of what to look for in a product, and I found it really helpful when I was just starting to wrap my head around what sort of gear we needed to register for.
