So my pedi yesterday told us to start fruits first then move on to veggies. I am going to do what he says but my dh has heard and read a lot on the debate of others starting veggies first because once they taste the sweet flavor they will not want veggies.
The other half of the debate is fruits first because they are sweet like bm. What is your take on it? What are/did you start first?

Yeppers we are doing cereal. But I was just wondering what people thought about the fruit thing since we thought it was kinda weird. I am jumping ahead of myself a little...
Oh, OK.
I'm going to do a vegetable first, probably sweet potatoes or squash.
This was our order: rice cereal, apples, pears, switch to oatmeal cereal and just started sweet potatoes yesterday. He loved the sweet potatoes and we're going to try peas next. I think it also depends on the baby....some are picky, some aren't. But our pedi had us start with the fruits. I had the same concern about 'sweet'...he definitely prefers the fruit over cereal, but he seems to like the veggie just as much as the fruit. Good luck!
I asked our pedi this same question yesterday afternoon. She said it doesn't really matter, and to do whatever I feel comfortable with. So I compromised and gave her sweet potatoes. But after this, I'm at a loss. I think I'll try another veggie, maybe carrots and then peas, and green beans.
