Ducky tub = waste of money

I decided to try DS in the ducky tub inside the big tub last night. He's getting too big and wayyyy too active to bathe him in the infant tub in the sink anymore. OH MY GOD he was terrified of the duck! Usually bath time is his favorite... not last night! He sat down for about 2 seconds, looked at the duck's head and start freaking out. So much for that idea!

Have you tried putting an inch of water in the tub and laying him down on his back? This is what we do with DS and he loves to splash and kick.

DD loves it. I let her watch me blow it up and she was laughing at it. Or maybe she was laughing at me...

It could just be an adjustment thing. To go from a little tiny sink to a bathtub could be a huge change for a baby. Remember, everything looks way bigger to them. He might learn to like it. Don't give up just yet!

It made a great drink cooler for my DD's rubber ducky themed first birthday party. It didn't work for us as a tub either.

Unfortunatley...my kid is just too giant for that damn tub.

T loves her ducky tub, but I let her play in it before we tried a bath. If your DS still hates it even after playing in it, there's another inflatable tub at BRU with no duck on it that we're going to use as a ball pit this summer (she hated that one for some reason).

Oh my gosh! DD loves the duck. LOVES.

Someone suggested the other day to use a laundry basket to bathe them in. It lets just enough water in around the bottom but keeps them contained.

I opted for a plain inflatable tub and it works great! Here's the link although I found it at Sears for $12---which I was shocked about---I never shop at Sears and hadn't even considered looking for baby stuff there, but we had a gift card so I went hunting through there and found it!
