Does anyone know if exercise can affect implantation? I know there is no problem if you have always exercised, but I just started going to the gym regularly this month and was wondering if I should tone it down during the 2ww. I googled, but only came up with message boards and I trust you all much more than some random message board.

Um... is this a sarcasm fail?
And exercise should be fine unless you're going all iron man after being a total couch potato.
Wasn't meant to be sarcasm. I read a few message boards that made comments about it, but I feel like I've gotten the most legitimate advice here. Sorry.
I read it as "exercise and implants"
major fail there, lol
Well, that's just great.... thanks a lot, everybody, for squashing my excuse to be a slug. I thought I'd had a lovely little plan for being lazy while sounding responsible (even though it makes my clothes shrink)!
I like pizza, too.
Wow. I did not know this.
I'm a little late in responding to you but just wanted to let you that I know where you are coming from with this question. It was not dumb. I've thought about this too. When you start your TTC journey you read so many books that tell you to "take it easy" with exercise during certain times of your cycle. Here is a quote from Zita West "Fertility and Conception" regarding exercise :
>Week 1 (menstruation) - Avoid strenous or aerobic exercise during your period. Consider doing yoga, meditation or qigong
>Week 2 (ovulation) - Make the most of feeling fully alive by taking brisk walks and doing regular aerobic exercise to get your qi circulating. Go running, swimming, power walking, cycling , or visit the gym.
I don't know if you do IVF but accupuncture is highly recommended during the transfer phase. With my CP , I had to tell my trainer that I was pregnant the momment I found out. We adjusted from the 50lb dumbells to only 15lbs. I didn't know I was going to miscarry again but just to be safe we lightened the weights.
Overall , you should keep the blood flowing by continuing your exercise routine and tone it down during AF.
