Echocardiogram?

Has anyone ever had one? I have an appt at 3:15pm tomorrow and want to know what to expect. TIA

I have. Pretty much you just lay there and they make you do a few different things to increase your heart rate. My favorite line from mine was "now bear down like you're having a bowel movement".

I've had one too and it's an easy test. Though I was never told to pretend to poop.

No.. my heart has been doing weird things. For example when I wake in the middle of the night to pee by the time I get back to bed my heart is racing. It feels like it is beating out of my chest. The OB sent me to the cardiologist. My EKG yesterday came back abnormal so they are having me come in tomorrow for an Echocardiogram. I will also be getting a monitor in the mail that I am supposed to wear for 2 weeks.

Get the f*ck out!

I've had moments of my heart racing, but I attributed it to being startled or just out of shape. I wonder if I should bring it up to my m/w...
