Another Dr question.....

I just left Kaiser to go to BCBS and now I am on the hunt for all new docs.  This is such a tedious and almost daunting task to me. As a matter of fact I almost stayed with Kaiser for this reason alone. 

I live by the airport so I would like to find docs in the smyrna, vinnings, or dowtown/midtown areas. Thanks for any help you are able to give. I am looking for GP and an OB/GYN.

    Do you know for sure that your current doctors don't also take BCBS?  I would check that first.  I typically switch insurance companies (back and forth between Aetna and BCBS) every year and never have to change any of my doctors.  But right now I have BCBS and my OB/GYN is Atlanta Women's Specialists, they are by northside hospital though.  www.awsphysicians.com

    Thanks for replying Heather. I was on the basic Kaiser HMO where you go to thier facilities not the plan where you can pick different docs in certain networks.

    I used to go to Atlanta OB/GYN at Piedmont and saw Dr Debra Brand for many years.  I really liked her, though its a big practice which might put some off.  They do have some midwives there also.
