Ds's fever is 103 :(

I tend to not worry too much about fevers as long as they are under 102.  I don't even usually treat them until they are at 102.  But something about 103 always gets me worried.  I know it's probably just the flu.  But I hate this.

    Ahhhhh, poor little man!  I hope he feels better soon.  Didn't everyone in your house just get over being sick, or is this the same bug?

    Poor little guy, I hope he kicks it soon. ?DS had the flu a few months ago and his fever spiked at one point to 106.4, and that was with Motrin and Tylenol. ?I freaked out a bit but the nurse at my pedi's office was amazing and had us get him in the tub, poor guy was so sick he just slept on me while we floated, back him down to 1/2 oz every 30 minutes and within an hour we had it down at least to 104 so we didn't have to go to the ER. ?For 3 days we didn't leave his room though because all he did was sleep and throw up the poor guy. ?I hope he gets over it quickly.

    DS did this last week.  We rotated Motrin and Tylenol every three hours.   I took two days off of work, told DS that I was taking him to the doctor,.... and he was better within a few hours.  At the doctor's his temp was 96.  The pedi said it wasn't ear infections and his blood levels were only "barely elevated."   103 is so scary!  His temp always went up while he was sleeping.  Room temp/warm baths helped A LOT!
