To Start: I have vistas
I emailed myself from work a spreasheet, I opened it and worked on it at home for the whole weekend. I KNOW that I hit save almost every time I worked on it because I would add something and then walk away. Well today it is no where to be found in my computer AT ALL. I am thinking I forgot to save it in documents, but when I search for the title nothing comes up, when I search only xls. nothing comes up. I am freaking out, I spent 20 hours on this!! When I open the email and try to save the item again without choosing a location this is the path that I get:
Soter/appdata/local/microsoft/windows/temp./low/content/then random numbers.
When I go back to see if it is in any of those, they are all empty. It doesn't show up in excell as a recent doc. WTF!!!!
TIA wth a big smoochy kiss!
Warning
No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
Re: xpNBR: Computer Help Please, VERY VERY NEEDED!
I wish your DH was home too
I did check temp files, don't know how about the email file?? That could be. thanks, I am trying not to really panic until all attempts have been made. Thanks for your help. I will check that out.
I was just going to say this. Did you save it in the email when you opened it? If you did then it only saved to the email, and not the computer.?
how do I do this? When I go back to my email, it is the original one??
Thanks, I just tried this. I have the old .xls version on both computers though because I didn't spring for the new one
I really really appreciate all the ideas, I am trying them all!
I am not sure about vista but I know XP used to have a 'Recent Documents' section in the start up menu, does Vista have that? If so is your document listed there?
Or if you open excel is there a 'recently/previously opened' option under the file menu?
