what I told DH re: Valentines day

we didn't really do it at all the past 2 years.   Last year we were just lazy and the year before it was 1 month til the wedding and that was enough.

so... for this year since I am feeling all needy for some v-day attention, I told DH that since Vday falls on Saturday.  I will spare him the going out to dinner on an uber-busy Saturday night drama, if he makes me surf & turf.   Fresh lobster and steak.

he seemed receptive to the idea - since that's his kind of meal too.

    I'm there with you on the "I'm celebrating V day this year come Hell or High Water" bandwagon.  We've done nothing the past few years.  I made dinner reservations in December.  Shameless. :)

    Mmm surf and turf!  DH asked me what day Valentines was this weekend.  I am trying not to read too much into it, cause he did this last year too, but didn't even get me a card.  We are not big valentines day celebrators, but a card would have been nice.  Of course I didn't get him anything either.

    That sounds good. I may do steak and crab legs. I really dont want to go out and wait for hours for a table and deal with huge crowds.

    mmmmmmm, surf & turf.

    That gives me a good idea for the menu for the supper club dinner I'm hosting Valentine's night.  At least it's at our local country club, so there won't be any lines.  Just good food and drinking fun with our neighbors with just a 10 minute drive home (all on country roads).

    i think we celebrated valentine's day one year of the 8 we've been together.

    i'm still waiting to celebrate my birthday that was in december.

    Sounds like a good idea! Although I don't eat anything that swims either. :)

    We are going ice fishing, lol. It happens that my cousin hosts a ice fishing tournment at his house on the lake every year in my late Uncles honor. This year it just happens to fall on V-day! So we will be with the fam drinking, eating and fishing. Well I probably won't fish but it's still fun.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    We're going away for the weekend - we actually had it planned before we realized it was Valentine's day, but I'm excited. 
    ***************************** Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.
