QOD: What kind of car do you and DH drive? Do you consider it baby friendly???

I drive a Mazda 3 and DH drives a Mazda CX-7. I consider them child friendly. Both cars have that special hook think to attach the car seats to and teh CX-7 is rather roomy for longer trips.

Hi there.... I first want to say CONGRATS to all the new SAL Mommies... ! I LOOOOOVE seeing that!

Secondly, thank YOU for keeping up with this post.... what organization!

And finally... our cars.

I drive a 2 door honda Accord-- IMO NOT baby friendly at all... but it's paid off, and in this economy, we'll accept that

DH has a 4 hoor Honda Civic. More baby friendly. We might end up switching cars for the time being, especially when I'm on leave.

Me- 2006 Ford Escape

H - 2006 Ford F150 with Crew Cab.

I think both are baby friendly. There is plenty of room in the back of H's truck for the car seat and mine of course is an suv so plenty of room there.

I drive a Landrover Freelander, and DH drives a Lincoln LS. Both are safe cars and will be just fine for when we have our little one!

I drive a Camry. I've been told by friends travel systems don't like Camry's. Not sure about that. But DH and I did speak an employee of Babies R Us and they have never heard of this. DH drives a Silverado. I haven't heard bad things about them.

Ahh -- I can't believe that I am on deck to have the baby! Going to doctor shortly so hopefully there is progress!

I don't have a car. I live in Chicago and basically walk and take public transportation to work. My DH drives a Mercedes...I feel like it is baby friendly but have not done any research on it.

We only have one car since we use public transportation to get to work. We drive a Toyota Rav4, which is pretty safe. We bought it specifically so that once we had a baby and had to put a baby seat in the back seat, our dog would still be able to come on road trips with us (in the back section).

QOTD: I drive a Toyota Matrix and it is definietely child friendly. Dh currently has an old Ford Ranger. It is not at all child friendly. We are planning on gettig him a new car by the summer.

I drive a saturn (3 door coupe) and DH drives a dodge truck (no back seat)...neither are very baby friendly and definetly not twin friendly, but both are paid off...I just hate the idea of a car payment, but I don't think we've got much choice!

I drive a toyota highlander and we just bought my DH a pontiac G6. My car is definitely baby friendly and his car is much more baby friendlier than the one he had!

I have a 4 door VW Passat and yes I think it is baby friendly.

DH has a four door Dodge Ram truck. We had the two door one but got the four door extended cab when we found out I was pregnant. We need a big truck to tow our boat so yes I think it is baby friendly.

Wow, looks like a lot of the Feb mommies are on team green!

I drive a Ford Focus, and I think it's baby-friendly. It's got the carseat anchor things in the back, and also it has features like that the driver can lock the backseat window controls.

I drive a Grand Prix and DH drives a Focus. I HATE his Focus. We're planning on buying a Subaru Outback in the spring which I'm very happy out the safety features on it. Then we'll get rid of the Focus and the Grand Prix will be his!

I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was just thinking on my way to work this morning how glad I am that we have it for when the baby comes. DH and I are both tall so having to bend over to get the little guy in and out would probably make us crazy. I do think it's very baby friendly in all aspects too! DH drives a ginormous truck that his company provides. It has second row seating so I imagine it's fine as well. Not sure yet on how that works!

I drive an Oldsmobile Alero and DH drives a GMC extended cab pickup. The Alero is definitely baby friendly, four dours, latch system, etc. The truck will work, but probably won't be ideal (at least for me) since it only has two doors and of course is SO high up, it would be hard for me to get in with a baby (its hard enough now that I'm pg and not as agile as I used to be!). Of course DH is a lot taller and so he shouldn't have a problem

I drive a Scion and DH drives a Forerunner. My car is ok but not really that friendly. His most certainly is. We have been thinking about trading mine in, but we haven't make that decision yet.

Wow, I can't believe we're almost in Feb!

As for cars, I have a Toyota Prius which is baby friendly. And DH has a PT Cruiser. I don't like the PT Cruiser - I don't feel like it has all that much control and its broken down more then once. DH really wants a Prius too and I'm supporting him in that - maybe this spring. If he gets this job, then maybe sooner then that.

I drive a Cadillac CTS. I guess it's baby friendly, but not ideal IMO.
DH drives a GMC Envoy, but his lease is up in June (right before I'm due) so we will "switch" then - he will take the CTS and I was thinking of getting a Nissan Rogue. It's a bit larger, 4wd, but not as big as some SUVs, plus better on gas.

p.s. My doctor's office called and moved my big u/s appt. UP to this Saturday!! Can't wait

We drive a Nissan Sentra and a VW Jetta, and they've worked well with one baby, but we're not so sure how it's going to be with two. We're looking into trading in one of them for an SUV at some point.

I drive an Acura MDX, which I think is very baby friendly - lots of room, very safe, etc. DH is in the process of buying a Jeep Wrangler, which I don't consider baby friendly at all. It's so bumpy and loud. I think we'll stick to my car for transportation.

My Dh has a tahoe and it is very kid friendly. I have a Ford Freestyle ,which is my company car, and I think it is kid friendly! It has three rows of seats and comfortable!

I drive a Chevy Impala.. totally baby friendly.

DH drives a Chevy Monty Carlo... totally NOT baby friendly... two doors and a baby carrier.. very tough... but he wanted his sports car... he deserves it... most of the time we will just use mine... we go the base for his for those times when I'm not around.
