  I'm sorry...that's a $20 disappointment. :-(

   

  DD got her Sophie as a gift at 4 months old. She's been "over it" for about 2 months now...perhaps we ought to write a PSA to the 6-12 board letting them know it's more of a 0-6 thing.

   

  Perhaps hold onto it if you plan for DC#2 one day...or give it to a friend one day? (Or a dog...ha!)

  My DD (She is 5 1/2 months) has it and she loves it!  We got it for her when she started teething and she just loves to chew on the ears.  She does get frustrated when she can't put it in her mouth.  LOL

  keep trying-- you never know. we recently traveled with our 16 month old niece who coveted sophie and would not give it back to our DS. she is still teething and loved it, also loved the squeaky sound. we were all suprised she liked it so much.

  I don't think it's more of a 0-6 thing - T is eight months and she still loves her Sophie; I've got a couple of other friends with babies the same age and Sophie is still well-loved.  I think it just depends on the baby, as it is with ANY baby toy.

  I received Sophie over the weekend from Amazon...FAIL at my house too!! DD was not interested in it...it is like a dog toy!!! My dog wants to eat it.....I was very disappointed!!!!
