When to use the stroller w/o the car seat?

If you have a travel system. Is there an age or weight requirement? I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything. I was just thinking that it might be nice to take her to the mall or something and have her facing out so she could look at everything besides my boring old face.

I'm not sure about any height or weight requirements. I started putting DS in just the stroller a couple of weeks ago, he seemed to be getting sick of the car seat and he loves facing forward in the stroller

I THINK it's when they have good head control. I just started putting DD in stroller face forward. Before that she would freak out if she did not see me so I had her in the carseat facing me.

At 3 months we were able to put DD directly in the stroller. Her head control was pretty decent at that point. I also reclined the seat of the stroller so she was pretty stable in there.
