We had DS in preschool two mornings a week prior to moving (he LOVED it!), and we're hoping to get him back into a 2-3day/week program again this fall (I'm freaking out, though, b/c of all the long wait lists). If I could find an opening for him now, I would. **fingers crossed**
DD goes to MMO and will do that until she either turns 4 and gets into one of the public preschools or turns 5 and then will go to our local pre-k. She goes one day a week this year, so I have time to go to the doctor for baby number 2 (I go every 2 weeks, and have this whole pregnancy, so it is cheaper than a sitter).
Next year, she will go 2 days a week, so the baby and I can have some time alone and hopefully take a swim class one day. It is 4 hours at a time, 9:30 to 1:30. It is very small and flexible. 8 kids in her class, with 2 teachers, compared with the pricier "real" preschools that have 8 kids to one teacher. She is in a class with 2, 3, and 4 year olds, so she gets to do some things that stretch her skills. The whole school is just 16 kids this year and will be 24 next year, with the addition of a seperate 2 year old class. I am very happy with it. About 1/2 my friends with kids in "formal" preschools are unhappy with how it is going, so pick carefully and go with what you like, not what is considered the best.
DS was December 06 so he misses the cutoff here. He is going in Fall 2009, he will have 3 years preschool. It will be partime, most likely 2.5 hours 2 days a week - possibly a tiny bit longer but not every day and not full day.

Fall 2010...she is right before the cut-off date, so if she goes to K in Fall 2012, I don't want three years of preschool if we were to send her this fall.
With me at home and having DS too, I think we'll be doing lots of outings and activities, classes, etc. that will allow for that interaction and learning. I'm waiting that extra year, but I seem to be one of the only people I know who is.
half day Montessori in the fall of 2009. he does a mother's morning out program one morning a week now.
he'll do two years of the montessori preschool, then I think we are going to have him do their preschool/k program for one year before he heads off to k at the private school he's attending.

DD is already in a toddler Montessori program now-5 days a week from 9:15 to 11:30. Next year she'll go from 8-12. We have really liked the experience for her so far. She just makes the cutoff here, so she'll have another 2 years of preschool and then we'll probably send her to public Kindergarten, though keeping her at the Montessori for her Kindergarten year is a possibility too..
DS is an Oct 2006 baby, so he won't start kindergarten until 2012. I'm about 95% sure that we are going to wait to send him too preschool in 2010, cause I just feel like 3 years of preschool is too much. I think he would probably enjoy it, but I just don't see any reason to rush into school when he has so many years of school ahead of him. We live in an area where there is tons to do with little ones, so we'll have plenty to keep us busy. If I lived in a smaller town without lots of opportunities for toddlers, I'd probably feel different. I know they enjoy playing with the other kids and learning new stuff, I just know that around here, there are lots of ways to do that without rushing into a traditional school program.
He'll start in the fall (09). He'll be going 3 days a week...we haven't decided if we'll hold him back for kindergarten (his birthday is just before the cut off) so we're going to go ahead and send him in the fall.
We are looking to put her in preschool in the Fall. I am waiting to call to put her on the list in March. It will be two days a week. 2 1/2 hours a day.
January 2010. Her birthday is in mid December, so she'll have 1.5 years of preschool and then a year of Pre-K before going to Kindergarden.
My oldest makes the cutoff for Kindergarden by one day, and is starting Kindergarden in August, which is just scary to think about. She will be the youngest in her class.?
I haven't even begun to think about that yet! My school has a program for preschoolers that have speech/language delays, and they allow "regular" kids in as models, so DD could do that when she turns 4, I think, but that's a ways off. I doubt we'll put her in anything this year, since she's only 2.
