After he climbed out at naptime yesterday, we put his mattress on the floor and tried to see if he would sleep there last night until we could put up his new bed. We put a doorknob cover on his door on the inside so he couldn't come back out. His crib converts into a toddler bed, but we also have a queen size bed in storage and I think we are just going to use that instead since he sleeps fine on the one in the guest room. Anyway... he just played around in his room and jumped on the mattress, etc. and didn't want to even try to go to sleep, so we let him sleep with us because we were exhausted already from being up almost the entire night before with a stuffy 3 month old! So, today we went out and bought a queen size comforter for his new bed and I wanted either Elmo or Mickey sheets but I couldn't find any in queen size. We got home and I attempted to see if he would nap on his mattress on the floor... he went downstairs and tried to drag the new comforter upstairs and said that was his "big bed." We put the comforter on the floor and he after some initial craziness, is now napping on his comforter on the floor with a pillor and blanket over him. And 17 board books and stuffed animals, of course. And a Handy Manny pull-up for good measure.
When DH gets home we are going to set up the bed. I just think this is too funny.
