figured out why he hates baths
...because we've been freezing our poor guy! We finally got a digital water thermometer because we couldn't figure out why he hated his baths so much. Tried every different kind of baby wash. Tried bathing with him. Tried putting that spongy thing under him. Tried keeping warm washcloths on his belly. So we test the water and it's a good 10 degrees below where it should have been. DH has always told me that I make the water too warm and that I'm going to burn him. Well, of course, he was way off and the water was too cold. So we had our first scream-free bath in 4 months. You learn something new every day.

it's best to always error on the side of caution...but too cold isn't good either! i'm glad you figured it out!
I tend to run warmer baths - we have one of those hot water indicator rubber duckies that I use to let me know if the water is too warm. Avery LOVES bath time - especially in the big tub with mommy
Glad you figured it out, we also bought a thermometer for the bath and it is a great investment.

FWIW ~ what temp was the water? ?what is it now? ?we have the ducky tub with the "hot" indicator but i think it isn't working correctly. ?it was registering "hot" a few nights ago but when we measured the water temp it was only 82. ?that seemed on the cool side to me. i always make his water warmer than that. ?i usually do about mid 90s ~ but maybe i'm wrong! ? eek!
