my boyfriends name is Tahake ( pronounced Da Huggie)
it took me a few times to capture how that pronunciation would even be possible. or how she words "the daddys name" instead of calling him her boyfriend? hmmpf.
lmao. ever since i saw your first post, im obsessed. youre right. it IS like watching Cops. Its just weird, cause I know there's some crazy people on our boards, but never anything like that...its almost innocent. They dont even know how hilarious it is.
I need the baby name boards like crack addicts need crack.
I love that board. Sometimes I open posts and then leave without giving an opinion because all the choices are just terrible. I figure there is no hope for those people so why should I bother taking the time to type a response?
I was the volunteer coordinator here at the hospital for a while and ran a summer teen volunteer program and some of the names were insane. Apparently it's popular to take half a female name and half a male name in the baby's life, put them together with a spelling that you could never decifer, and walla-baby name!
I always said I could never be a teacher here because I would never get my student's names right. sigh.

Oh, and I should say that I wasn't commenting on HER kid's name, specifically. The post was like, "what do you think of these names" and Kaden was one of the choices. I replied and said what I thought, and then Kaden's mom came in and got upset. So I wasn't even talking about a kid that HAD that name yet, it was just good (bad?) timing on the part of a mother of a kid with that name when she came into the post.
Not that that's a bad thing if it's what you want. But people should own up to it. "I took Aiden, and I stuck a (X) in front of it."
And of course now, someone's going to "come up with" Xaden. And I will be responsible. I think I have to go say a rosary.
That is my huge pet peeve... well I don't want my child to be Olivia b/c it is too popular... so instead we shall name her Jolivia... You see, now it isn't common anymore

Unfortunately i've read 2 books that connect intellect with name choices and spelling choices. I'm going with the classics. But i *could* do up Josephine's name like so "Jos3phyn3. You know. Add some spin to it.

The name was Kaden. I know it's pretty popular but it's totally not my style and I seriously think most of the -aden names look made up.
I said something mean about someone's choice the other day, and then she said it was her dad's name. I edited out my comment.
lol! @ Surprise.
If I was to get pregnant again any time soon, I shall name him/her Unplaned'dah.
Because, well, it is.

I met a chick in vegas (when I was pregnant -2nd tri) who named her son London cause he was conceived there. NO SHIT_
It was really hard to not laugh in her face.
There's ababy named London on this board. I don't think thats why she named he that though.
yeah well at least your niece wont have to tell the world her name is Olive Juniper Lastname.
Pisses me off.
I like the girl on 3rd tri last year who was naming her baby Raven Jezebel.

Horrifying.
