Decor tips if baby will share a room?

Our house is only 3 bedrooms, so this baby will be sharing a room with either big sister or big brother (depending on gender) after it gets the boot from our bedroom.  Anyone else have to combine the nursery with a sibling's room?  Did you completely redecorate or just purchase complimentary decor?  Any tips on "the merge"?

    We are in a similar situation. My SS and DS are in one room and SD is in the other. We will not be redecorating but I picked out the decor for both of the kids room. SD room is pink and has Disney Princesses. SS and DS room is blue. SS like Marvel super heroes and DS likes Disney cars. I'm going to make crib bedding to match the room after I find out what room the baby will be in

    I am not in this situation, but thinking of the feelings of the older sibling, maybe ask him/her what they prefer.  It might be a fun time to redecorate, or your older child may want to keep what they already have.  I would work around the older child's feelings about it since he/she might not be over the moon about having to share a room with a baby and having a say in the room might make the situation a little easier.
