Seperate sacs...same or opposite sex?

Could it go both ways or is it to be assumed that since they are in their own sac they will be different gender?

Sorry if this is a "dumb" question, but I am new to this stuff yet!

Re: Seperate sacs...same or opposite sex?

  • I had two sacs and two placentas and have two little girls!

  • I am guessing you mean you have di/di twins...2 sacs 2 placentas? That is what I have and am having 2 boys however there are ladies on here that also are having di/di twins and they are b/g. Not sure if anyone recommended it to you yet or not but get Dr. Luke's book When you are expecting twins, trip, or quads. it is a great reference tool.
  • no way to tell the sex by 2 different sacs...
  • I had 2 sacs, and 2 placentas and I have a boy and a girl. And they look NOTHING alike as they were also 2 eggs and 2 sperm. :)

  • Could be either.. I believe you have a 50% chance of one of each, and a 25% chance of both girls, 25% chance of both boys.

  • You just have siblings when they're fraternal. So each baby has a 50% chance of being either gender.
  • Two sacs, one placenta- identical girls.

  • I have two sacks, two placentas, two boys--could be identical or fraternal (but odds are that they are fraternal).
